🏠 **From a Cold Brick Wall to a Fully Insulated Exterior System**
The homeowner contacted us with one major complaint — **the house was extremely cold.**
When we opened the exterior, we found the reason: the existing brick wall had virtually **no exterior insulation system**.
This project wasn’t just about installing new siding. We rebuilt the exterior wall to significantly improve insulation, weather protection, and the overall performance of the home.
Our crew:
🔨 Installed new exterior framing/furring
🧱 Added **mineral wool exterior insulation** between the framing
🟢 Installed **ZIP System Green Wall sheathing**
💧 Properly integrated the wall with new weather-resistant details and flashing
🏠 Installed **Prodigy insulated siding with 1" foam insulation** for an additional layer of thermal protection
But we didn’t stop with the walls.
The existing chimney was no longer needed, so we **completely removed it**, closed and rebuilt the roof opening, and replaced the old roofing with new **GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in Fox Hollow Gray**.
The result is much more than a cosmetic transformation.
The home now has **multiple layers of exterior insulation**, a new protected wall assembly, premium insulated siding, and a new roofing system — all designed to help keep the home warmer in winter, cooler in summer, and better protected from the weather.
