My work is 50/50 digital and pencil. How about yours?

I know you're not supposed to have drinks on your drafting table, but both my computer and pencil are on a drafting table - the coffee-stained paper is indicative of the environment I work in.

How about you?

Happy Oktober, everyone! Oktober is a special month, my favorite by far, and it has the birthdays of very important people in my life. Special also for being the 8th month of the year - hence the okto or eight, being part of its name.

This is a door to the stairs to the second floor of a hundred-year-old barn. The shape of the door is intuitive to the steps beyond - I adore the maker, most likely someone with wit and a smile that says, 'I know something you don't '.

Sometimes I cannot believe the beautiful buildings that I get to work on. We are saving this barn - bringing it back to life - piece by piece, like the Ship of Sisyphus. This is a wonderful project with owners who have vision.
