In Flanders fields.

Looking for ways to honor Memorial Day around Milwaukee? There's plenty to do all weekend long!

🇺🇸 Field of Flags Remembrance Ceremony – 27,316 flags will be placed (one for every Wisconsin hero lost in action from the Civil War to today) in Veterans Park. The Remembrance Ceremony will be on Friday morning at 11 AM, but flags will stay on display through May 27th.

🇺🇸 Falls Memorial Fest – Expect a full day of family-friendly Memorial Day fun on Saturday in the Village of Menomonee Falls.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Ceremony – Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation is hosting a Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday at the Memorial Garden at Armory Park.

🇺🇸 Garden of Honor Wreath Laying – St. Paul's Episcopal Church will lead a memorial service in the chapel, with a wreath-laying at the Garden of Honor, and bugling by Bill Seaman.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Parade – Starting at 10 AM, enjoy a parade down Menomonee Falls's Main Street, honoring military personnel who have fought and paid the ultimate price while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Nice to see a jump in housing starts. 🏠📈

Housing starts jumped 10.8% in March to an annual rate of 1.502 million. Single-family home starts were up 9.7% to an annual rate of 1.032 million, 8.9% higher than a year ago. But home single-family home building permits were down 3.8% from last year.
