Hi, I’m Mitchel - Owner & Operator of Mitch’s Stump Grinding & Outdoor Services.

I started this business in 2023 with a simple goal: to provide reliable, high-quality stump grinding and outdoor services that people throughout Northern Michigan can count on.

As someone who has always enjoyed working with my hands and being outdoors, building this business from the ground up has been a true labor of love.

What started with a Vermeer SC30TX and a truck has continued to grow. We’ve since added a Rayco RG37 and Rayco RG80 to our equipment lineup, giving us more options to handle different stump sizes, properties, and projects.

None of that growth would have been possible without hard work, loyal customers, and the support of my family, who are all involved in the business.

We’re proud to be a family-run company that values honesty, professionalism, and doing the job right the first time.

I’m out in the field every day, making sure we leave each property better than we found it. Whether we’re grinding stumps, cleaning up debris, or tackling other outdoor projects, we approach every job with the same level of care and commitment.

Northern Michigan is home, and I’m proud to serve the people who live here.

HOW TO MEASURE A STUMP FOR GRINDING

Looking for a rough estimate for stump grinding?

Getting the correct measurement is important!

When measuring your stump, measure at ground level from outside edge to outside edge - not just across the top of the stump.

Use the diagram below as a guide for the correct way to measure your stump.

For the most accurate estimate, seeing the stump in person is always best, but pictures and correct measurements can help us provide a rough estimate.
