The crew at Dusseau Sanitation & Services finished up another driveway for a local customer today, and the before & after difference speaks for itself!

This driveway had some serious ruts, potholes, uneven areas, and crowning, so instead of simply covering everything up with new stone, we took the time to rebuild and reshape it properly.

We started by ripping up the existing driveway to break up the deep ruts and potholes. From there, we Harley raked the entire driveway, bringing existing stone back to the surface while leveling and reshaping the base. We then brought in approximately 40 tons of county-mix stone, tailgated it throughout the driveway, Harley raked again, and finished everything off by grading and back-blading with the skid steer.

Finally, we brought in a roller to thoroughly compact the driveway, while our crew hand-raked and shoveled the edges for a clean finished look.

The result is a driveway that isn’t just nicer looking — it’s smooth, properly graded, well-compacted, and built to hold up.

Thursday Project Spotlight

Another great day in the field for the crew at Dusseau Sanitation & Services!

Today’s project was giving this gravel driveway a fresh new look using our Harley Rake—and the best part? We didn’t have to bring in a single load of stone!

Instead, we took the existing gravel, loosened it up, leveled the entire driveway, and brought all of that quality stone that had worked its way into the dirt back up to the surface. The end result is a clean, smooth, refreshed driveway while saving our customer the cost of purchasing additional material.

Another project complete by the Dusseau Sanitation & Services crew!

One of our repeat customers wanted to give the area around her beautiful new shed a clean, low-maintenance look. She spent the last couple of days pulling w**ds, spraying the area, and laying down landscape fabric. From there, our crew took over!

We delivered a fresh load of gravel, wheelbarrowed it into place, and spread it extra thick to give the entire area a clean, finished appearance. It’s amazing how a simple gravel installation can completely transform a space while making it much easier to maintain for years to come.

Happy Friday from Dusseau Sanitation & Services!

We wrapped up another productive week by finishing a commercial asphalt painting project at the Sunoco gas station in Erie. We also had the opportunity to deliver portable restrooms for our sister company, Denniss Septic Tank Service, helping keep events and party’s functioning smooth this weekend!

Another driveway brought back to life!

We wrapped up this gravel driveway refresh in Ida today, and the crew knocked it out of the park!

While we specialize in complete gravel driveway restorations—including machine grading, pre-leveling, finish grading, edge work, stone installation, and final hand raking—we know that not every driveway needs a full rebuild.

For this customer, we kept it simple and affordable. We tailgated a couple loads of fresh stone with our dump trailer, then finished everything by hand with rakes and shovels to create a clean, even surface. While machine grading provides the cleanest finished product, this is an excellent low-cost option for anyone looking to give their driveway a fresh new look without the expense of a full reconstruction.

We’ll be back next week to apply a round of w**d control, and this driveway will be in great shape!

We couldn’t be more proud of our team and everything they accomplished this week.

We kicked off a new project for one of our larger residential customers—someone we originally met through our septic business. Over the years we’ve built a great relationship, and it’s been awesome to continue earning their trust with additional services.

This week we began repainting their private parking lot, adding fresh directional arrows to improve semi-truck traffic flow, while also installing traffic and speed limit signage throughout the property. We also got started on a brand-new privacy fence, with the first two sections now completed and the rest scheduled to be finished early next week.

To wrap up the week, we completed our routine mowing service, leaving the property looking clean and ready for the weekend.

I’m incredibly thankful for this crew. We joke that sometimes we bite off more than we can chew—but at the end of the day, we always find a way to chew it. Their work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to take on new challenges make me proud every single day.
