I just learned something today that I never knew. So a licensed forester marked a wood lot next to mine and came across the line onto my land marking my trees. I contacted them and told them not to cut the tree that were marked on my land and they argued with me saying they know where the lines are and I do not know where my lines are and said they weren’t my trees. The next time I when to my lot it was all cut. I contacted a surveyor to prove that I knew where my lines were, and when I had the Surveyor marked the line out, I contacted the Forrester and told them that they cut my trees. They said they would contact the landowner and figure something out that was three years ago. I have not received one call back or one message back. I contacted a lawyer and I have learned that even though a forester marked them an got a logger to cut them the forester is not responsible for the damage it falls on the landowner that paid the forester to mark the lot to cut! So it looks like the forester gets paid to do a job with no responsibility for there actions. Landowner pays for a service and pays for them like they are little kids!
(Just so everyone knows I did pursue this by law when it all happened and it just takes 3 years for the courts to get on the ball with it and know one has tried to resolve it even tho they said they would. )
