I have spent a lot of time nailing walls together. Nailing headers to King studs was always a chore on the ground, until I saw this nifty trick. It uses the floor to keep everything flat, and gives plenty of room for a nail gun. This is a small garage. We built in Stuart a few weeks back.

We have been putting in alot of windows it seems like this year… having the lift still on site for windows is really nice.

This is called a cricket. I’m not sure why…. maybe because it helps the water “jump” to the right place? lol
The name I’m not sure of but I like building them.

Seems like each year when things get busy I don’t post as much but we are working hard- the sunshine is great! Framing this addition right now… rolling Tyvec today.

Can you make it through the floor without getting sub floor glue on your boots, pants or the nail gun hoses? Pretty hard to do:)
