Today is National HVAC Tech Day, and we want to thank the technicians who show up and get it done on hard days and harder days.

This work is not easy. It can mean hot rooftops, tight mechanical rooms, long days, tough calls, and urgent problems that need to be solved on the spot. Our team rises to these challenges.

Since we’re re-introducing ourselves, we thought it was important to start with who we are and what we do. For over 22 years, Gulf States Automation has helped customers create smarter, more efficient, and more reliable buildings through innovative HVAC and building automation solutions.

As a proud partner of Automated Logic and their WebCTRL building automation platform, we help customers gain greater visibility, control, and efficiency across their facilities. From renovations to new construction projects, our focus has always been on building long-term partnerships and helping customers stay in control of their buildings.

Big things don't happen overnight! Over the past several months, our team has been working hard putting into words the values that have guided our company from the very beginning. While these values aren’t new to us, officially defining them is an important step as we continue to grow and look toward the future. Along with that, we’ve also been refreshing parts of our brand to better reflect who we are today. Over the next few weeks, we're excited to pull back the curtain and share it all with you! At Gulf States Automation, safety is part of every installation, service call, controls upgrade, and commissioning effort. Our goal is simple: deliver quality work, protect our team, and make sure every employee goes home healthy.

This National Safety Month, we would like to give a special shoutout to our Operations Manager, Henry Hiebert, who helps keep safety front and center by regularly sharing safety tips and encouraging healthy workplace habits for our team.

Henry’s reminders cover a wide range of important topics, from proper use of safety harnesses and other gear to the importance of equipment grounding conductors to preventing heat exhaustion and heat stroke by staying properly hydrated.

Thank you, Henry, for your continued leadership and commitment to helping keep our team safe every day.

Thank you to Luke Wise and Josh Zajac for representing GSA on the links supporting the annual Northwest Florida ASHRAE Golf Tournament!

Congratulations to Luke and his third-place team: Russ Brock with Engineered Cooling Services, Dave Wheeler, formerly with Emerald Coast Utility Authority, and Joel Write of Sacred Heart.

GSA was proud to participate as an Eagle Sponsor and honored to help keep everyone refreshed at our tee box watering hole. It was a great opportunity to support ASHRAE and enjoy a day with friends across the HVAC and building automation community.
