Our very own Mike Werner joined Garett Goodman of BL Harbert International, along with David Triplett and Doug Nichols of the FBI, at the DBIA Federal Symposium to discuss the benefits and challenges of “Design-Build Done Right” delivery in the federal market.

We're excited to welcome Katie Zou to the STOA Architects team as an Architectural Designer!

Katie is a graduate of Auburn University, where she earned dual bachelor's degrees in Architecture and Interior Architecture. She is passionate about exploring how architecture shapes people's experiences and benefits the community, and she's excited to work with the diverse clients, partners, and colleagues she'll meet throughout her career at STOA.

Congratulations to our Project Architect, Mallory Garrett, AIA, on graduating from the 2026 Jacob Leadership Institute (JLI) Leadership Program!

Over six sessions, Mallory joined fellow architects from across Florida to strengthen her leadership skills through self-assessment, transformational leadership, communication, overcoming bias, motivating others, and influencing stakeholders.

Reflecting on the experience, Mallory shared: “This was a great class that made you stop to assess people, how to work with them, how to get past your bias, and inspire others. It focused on pushing yourself to not only be a better leader, but to be a better person who can motivate and lead others in a respectful manner.”

We're thrilled to announce that Jeremy Davis has joined our Panama City office as Senior Architectural Designer!

With 16 years of experience in architectural design—including a strong foundation in structural and sheet metal design—Jeremy brings both depth and versatility to his work. He’s especially passionate about the possibilities of concrete, from its traditional applications to cutting-edge innovations like 3D-printed homes. At STOA, he’s excited to collaborate with the team on large-scale projects and contribute to impactful design solutions.

A longtime resident of Vernon, Florida, Jeremy also has a unique connection to the documentary world—his hometown was featured in a film by Errol Morris, the director behind ‘CHAOS: The Manson Murders’, and he even knew some of the colorful locals featured in it growing up.

Last night in downtown Pensacola, members of the STOA Architects team had the privilege of attending the AIA Northwest Florida Women in Architecture Showcase—an evening dedicated to recognizing the talent, impact, and leadership of women across our region’s design community.

The exhibition brought together an inspiring group of professionals whose work continues to influence and elevate the built environment in Northwest Florida. We’re especially proud to celebrate two of our own, Senior Project Architect Jamie Stephens and Project Architect Jilian Carlo, for being featured among such accomplished peers.

STOA is proud to have four women architects on our team. In addition to Jamie and Jil being recognized in the showcase, Project Architect Mallory Garrett and Senior Project Architect Hannah Coggin were also in attendance to support and celebrate the evening.

With a steady flow of attendees throughout the night, the energy in the space reflected the strength of the Northwest Florida architecture and design community. A highlight of the evening was the guest speaker’s presentation, which shared Michelle MacNeil’s journey as an architect-developer—often working just ahead of the wrecking ball—a perspective that left a lasting impression.
