Follow up from yesterday's question.....it was a trick question. Any tree can fail if it's unhealthy. Pine trees are often associated with storm damage; however, a healthy pine can be safer than an oak with internal decay. The real takeaway is that tree health matters more than tree species, but it's best to check them during storm season.
