We are applying a premium floor-leveling compound in this 120-year-old residence.

After reinforcing the structural framing and installing a new layer of 3/4-inch subflooring, we are now refining the floors to achieve a precise, seamless level surface before the installation of the new hardwood. This meticulous preparation will provide a lasting foundation worthy of this remarkable home for generations to come.

Happy Saturday!

This home in Florence is over 100 years old, and we have taken the floor system all the way down to the earth. The entire floor system had rotted out and was severely over-spanned, creating large dips throughout the home.

We are now installing a new rebar-reinforced concrete pier foundation system extending below frost depth. From there, we will install new beams, floor joists and subfloor. We will also install a radon barrier and rigid insulation before closing the floor system back up.

Sadly, the family cannot live in their home while we complete this work, so we are working hard to give them a strong, safe and level home to return to.

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7
