This whole week is going to be hotter than normal. Your air conditioners are going to be working over time. Here are a few tips you can do to help out.

1. Make sure your filter is clean. A dirty will cause your ac unit to freeze up, or not work as efficiently.

2. Set it and forget it. Don't try to turn on your ac when its already hot in your house. Ac units are designed to maintain temperature. Not drop temperature. You will be lucky to get it to drop 1 degree an hour.

3. It is normal for an ac unit to go above the set temperature a few degrees. As long as it's still blowing cold air you should be good. Systems that are sized correctly most likely will do this.

4. Try to keep all door and windows shut when unit is running. Adding additional latent heat and humidity will make your system work harder.

5. If you have ceiling fans upstairs put them in reverse mode. Heat rises, and alot of these homes don't have proper ventilation upstairs. This will pull the hot air off of you.

6. If you did all of the following, and still having issues give us a call 412-245-8964. When the temperature rises we get extremely busy. But we do have availability at this moment.
