It's time for your Week 2 Fall Foliage Report! 🍂🍁

While autumn colors continue to spread across much of the Commonwealth, recent cold nights have helped fall colors reach their peak in the north. Bright, colorful leaves are now easy to spot in most Pennsylvania forests.

The best places to enjoy the season right now are the northern counties, the northern Poconos, and the Laurel Highlands.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE:

Driving Surface Aggregate (DSA) placement on Strawband Beaver Road will begin today, May 19th. The work will be completed from the Beaver Road intersection to the Clay Mine Road intersection. This section of road will be closed from the start of application until project completion, including a sufficient amount of drying time. Should there be any significant delays in the construction schedule, it will be posted on our page. The project area will be closed during this time as vehicle traffic, including motorcycles and bicycles, will destroy the material when wet. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued usage and support of the Moshannon State Forest.
