Isaias is now a Category 3 hurricane with 120 mph sustained winds, sitting about 90 miles south of Pensacola. Landfall is expected tonight between 8 and 11 PM, most likely along the western Florida Panhandle, and it could still be at major hurricane strength when it comes ashore.

Evacuation orders are in effect for several counties across the Florida Panhandle and south Alabama. A Hurricane Warning runs from just east of Biloxi through Mobile and Pensacola to Panama City and Mexico Beach. If you are in one of those areas and have not left, the window is closing. Conditions are already deteriorating.

Along the coast, expect life-threatening storm surge, damaging winds, flash flooding, and the potential for tornadoes across southeast Mississippi, southwest Alabama, and northwest Florida tonight.

Isaias weakens once it moves inland, but Birmingham and Tuscaloosa are still in the track Saturday. Secure what is outside, charge your phones, and stay weather-aware overnight.

Hurricane Isaias could leave you with roof damage from high winds. Before tonight, take photos of your roof and your home while everything is still intact.

After the storm, photograph any damage before you touch it, and get a compromised roof covered quickly. A few missing shingles is a roof problem. Left alone, it becomes soaked insulation, stained ceilings, wet drywall, and growth in the attic. The wind stops in a few hours. Water keeps working for weeks.

Isaias is now a hurricane with sustained winds of 85 mph and is forecast to reach near 110 mph by Friday morning, just under major hurricane strength. Landfall is expected late Friday into early Saturday along the northern Gulf Coast.

A Hurricane Warning is in effect from Ocean Springs, Mississippi to the Bay and Gulf County line in Florida. A Storm Surge Warning now stretches from the mouth of the Mississippi River to the Suwannee River, with 5 to 7 feet of inundation forecast above normally dry ground, including Mobile Bay. If you are in a warning area and officials tell you to go, go now. Friday morning is too late.

The exact landfall point is still uncertain, and small shifts in the track make a big difference in who sees the worst winds. For Tuscaloosa and Birmingham, Saturday is still the day to plan around.

If you have not done it yet, photograph your home and belongings today. It takes ten minutes, and it matters when you file a claim.

Birmingham and Tuscaloosa: expect gusty winds, downed trees, power outages, and 1–3" of rain. Watch for tornado warnings.

Grateful to be part of the 2nd Annual Vestavia Hills Fire Department Foundation Par 3 Tournament at Vestavia Country Club.

What a day to be at AT&T Stadium.

Keri Delgado, one of our Business Development reps in Dallas, brought a client partner out for the Cowboys win over Washington and got to watch Dak Prescott break the franchise touchdown record in person.

As the official restoration partner of the Dallas Cowboys, days like this are some of our favorite ways to say thank you to the people we work alongside. The relationships are what make this work, and time spent together outside of an emergency is time well spent.

Our business development teams from Birmingham and Tuscaloosa spent the day at Timberline for the Big I PAC golf tournament, an event we look forward to every year.

This business runs on relationships. Some of our strongest partnerships started with a conversation on a golf course, not in a conference room, and those relationships are what let us move fast when an agent’s client has water in a building at 2am.

Twenty-five years.

Some of us remember exactly where we were standing. Others have only known a world shaped by that morning. Both are reasons to stop today and remember.

343 firefighters. 71 law enforcement officers. People who went up the stairs while everyone else came down, because that is what the job asked of them.

At SERVPRO Team Wilson, our crews work alongside first responders on some of the hardest days people experience. We see a small piece of what that job asks, and we are proud to stand with the men and women who answer the call in our communities.
