Does your flowering bush look thin and sparse? Most people who say “they don’t have a green thumb”, are just afraid to trim, or transplant stuff, mostly due to lack of knowledge. One of things you will find out about most “avid” gardeners, they have accidentally killed quite a few plants over the years to get the knowledge they have in gardening and planting. So take that leap of faith, experiment with a few plants along the way! As far as the bush pictured above, it looks ok. It could have twice as many blooms, thicker amount of foliage, just to mention a few things! How?
1 trim after done blooming!
Most blooming plants require some form of trimming from time to time, especially if they are “leggy” and have a lot of older woody stems and dead branches. after blooming is the best time to trim most flowering plants.
2 try fertilizing your plants
I talk to hundreds of customers a month , and they look at me like I am half looney when I ask them if the plant we are talking about that isn’t looking so good, has ever been fertilized! The answer is usually no. To be healthy, all living organisms need to be fed. Keep your bushes and tree healthy, by feeding them proper nutrients!
