From dirt to this.

Not long ago this was raw ground, cut and graded, waiting. Now the walls are climbing — formwork stacked corner to corner, concrete finding its way through a boom stretched further than most would guess possible.

Step back far enough and a job site starts to look like something being built by hand, wall by wall, against a hillside that’s about to change for good.

Everything after this gets easier to picture.

This is where a custom home starts to feel real.

The Richey family recently walked their home with our team for the first time since framing began — moving room by room, reviewing the plans, asking questions and working through details while there’s still time to make adjustments.

Because building custom isn’t simply following a set of drawings. It’s seeing the space take shape, standing inside it and making sure it works for the people who will eventually call it home.

There’s plenty of work ahead, but moments like this are where everything that’s lived on paper starts becoming real.

A house can be beautiful. But the spaces you actually live in are what make it feel like home.

For Ginny, that space is the backyard.

Morning coffee by the pool. Room for the dogs to run and the kids to play. Evenings around the fire pit. A place to entertain, slow down, or simply enjoy a few quiet minutes outside.

After everything that went into transforming this 1937 West Meade home, hearing her call this her favorite space says more than we ever could.

Some additions announce themselves. This one just belongs.

The breezeway between the original 1937 home and the new garage and pool house was never meant to be a hallway. Vaulted ceilings, glass on every side, doors that open straight to the pool. It became a room of its own.

Life lately: a lot of dirt, a lot of lumber, and several homes just beginning to take shape.

Across our current projects you’ll find every stage of the early build — land being cleared, foundations poured, walls framed, plans on paper turning into something you can finally walk through.

It doesn’t look like much yet. But this is where it all starts.
