Ozarks Church of Nature and Magical Food Forest

Ozarks Church of Nature and Magical Food Forest We are a 12.5 acre Agritourism destination and Sacred Living Sanctuary located in the Heart of the Ozarks. Open Fri-Sun at 1 PM.

Home to the Tiniest Maximalist Boutique in the World, our mission is to provide healing through Nature. Ozarks Church of Nature and Magical Food Forest is a living dream nestled near the sparkling waters of Bull Shoals Lake — a sanctuary in progress, rooted in a deep reverence for the natural world and its wisdom. Founded in 2020 by a nature-loving visionary, this evolving oasis began as a yard of manicured grass and is steadily transforming into a thriving, self-sustaining food forest filled with life, learning, and love. The land now hosts hundreds of medicinal plants, organic fruit trees and berries, and wild edibles — all cultivated with the intention of providing both nourishment and healing. At its heart, the project is guided by a profound realization: nature is far wiser than man. After healing herself through nature’s remedies, the founder felt compelled to share the good news and create a space where others could reconnect with the Earth’s inherent intelligence. This is more than just a garden — it's a community-centered vision. The property features community gardens, campsites, and awe-inspiring views of the lake. It’s also home to the region’s only all homegrown, organic apothecary, offering hundreds of handcrafted products made directly from the plants grown on-site. As part of its mission to empower and educate, Ozarks Church of Nature regularly hosts educational walks, guided tours, skill-sharing classes. A small farmer’s market and hands-on workshops will further connect the community through shared knowledge and mutual support. Though not a “church” in the traditional sense, this sanctuary is a deeply spiritual place — where Nature herself is the teacher, healer, and guide. Everyone is welcome to visit, learn, contribute, or simply soak in the peace and abundance of this magical space. What we are looking for: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DydciibYG/

Wellllll… About This Weekend….........

A few days ago I told everyone that I planned to reopen the Herbal-Tique for regular hours this weekend. And I really meant it. 😂

Then I looked at the forecast today while moving the hose all dang day...

107° Saturday
108° Sunday

And I’m afraid Mother Nature has overruled me. Yeah, they call that the "feels like" but I am here to argue that if it FEELS like.........it IS like.................

I’m sorry to anyone who was planning to come out this weekend, especially since I specifically said we would be reopening. But between trying to keep the gardens, animals, and everything else alive in this ridiculous heat, and trying to keep myself alive while moving hoses approximately 47,000 times a day, I just don’t think officially opening the shop this weekend makes much sense.

Honestly, I’m not sure anybody else is going to voluntarily leave their air conditioning either….unless they’re heading straight to the lake on one of those beautiful boats driving by. 😂

So The Herbal-Tique will NOT have regular open hours this weekend. As always, though, I am still around and happy to see people by appointment, and random drive bys are generally welcome too. :)

Just understand that at 108 degrees you may be greeted by a very sweaty woman who smells suspiciously like garden, p**p, herbs, goats, and desperation.

And for everyone who was looking forward to the clothing sale, the 20% OFF ALL CLOTHING sale is NOT going away!

I’m simply carrying it forward to the following weekend when we reopen, weather permitting.

So nobody is losing the sale because the sun has apparently decided to move three feet closer to Arkansas. And I will also Honor this offer for any appointments as well in the mean time.

I hate changing plans after announcing them, but sometimes common sense has to win. Right now my priority is keeping everything watered, keeping everybody safe, and getting all of us through this last brutal stretch of summer.

Thank you for understanding, for being patient with me, and for continuing to support this little unique place while I work with the seasons instead of pretending I’m stronger than 108 degrees. :D

We WILL reopen. We WILL have the clothing sale. We are just simply waiting until stepping outside no longer feels like entering a pizza oven. There's a reason I never went to saunas..............and I still agree with those reasons.

In the meantime, appointments and brave random visitors are still welcome. Funky smells and stains included at no additional charge. 😂

Thank you so much for your understanding and support!

Are We Practicing What We Post?

I’ve been thinking about something a lot lately. Spend a few minutes scrolling social media and you’ll see a whole lot of beautiful things..........Peace, love, kindness, compassion, unity, forgiveneess, community..........all variations of:

- "Love your neighbor”
- “Be the change.”
- “No hate.”
- “Choose kindness.”

And I agree with all of it. But I keep wondering, are we actually practicing what we post? :)

Because loving humanity in the abstract is pretty easy. Loving the person next door when they’re different from you? Apparently that’s where things get complicated...

It’s easy to be peaceful when nobody challenges us. It’s easy to preach tolerance when everyone around us believes the same things. It’s easy to talk about unity when we only surround ourselves with people from our own little corner of the world...

But what happens when your neighbor dresses differently? Worships differently? Doesn’t worship at all? Has different politics? Keeps crystals on a shelf? Has a different lifestyle? Listens to different music? Uses words you wouldn’t use? Or simply doesn’t fit the story you have already decided to tell yourself about who a “good person” is?

Do the peace and love posts still apply? Or does the fine print suddenly appear?

*Love everyone.* Terms and conditions apply. LOL

I think ego plays an enormous role in this. There is something seductive about feeling RIGHT. Right beliefs, right religion, right politics, right lifestyle, right medicine, right way to raise children, right way to live...
Being certain that we are right can make us feel safe and comfortable. But if we’re not careful, it can also make us feel a little superior. By the way, I am not preaching. I am just as guilty as the next person and I've seen what these beliefs can do to the "best" of us. :)

Years ago I used to say, You can be right, or you can be loved.

Obviously life is more complicated than one little sentence, but I still think there’s something worth examining inside it...
How many relationships have we sacrificed because winning mattered more than understanding?
How many neighbors have we judged without ever actually speaking to them?
How many people have we decided are dangerous, immoral, ignorant, evil, strange, misguided, or “not our kind of people” based entirely upon what somebody ELSE told us? Or something we simply misunderstood?

How can we even know how different we are from someone when we refuse to communicate with them? That part fascinates me. We build entire imaginary versions of people in our heads……and then become angry at the imaginary person. Meanwhile, the actual human being may be twenty feet away wondering what the heck happened.

I don’t think community means we all agree. Honestly, that sounds less like community and more like a club....even a little boring and stiff....
Community is learning how to live beside people we do NOT completely agree with in every single area of life. It’s helping someone whose bumper sticker you wouldn’t put on your own truck. It’s checking on the neighbor whose church you’d never attend. It’s sharing tomatoes across a fence without first conducting a theological examination.
It’s saying, “I don’t understand everything about you. You probably don’t understand everything about me. But if your barn is burning, I’m still bringing a hose.”

THAT interests me. Because none of us are islands. We may convince ourselves that we don’t need anybody. Until the tree comes down, the road washes out, until someone gets hurt, until the power goes out, until an animal gets loose, until there’s a fire...until life reminds us that the person we spent years refusing to speak to, is also the person standing closest when we suddenly need another set of hands...

And bridge building does not mean abandoning boundaries. It does not mean tolerating abuse. It does not mean agreeing with everything somebody believes or allowing unsafe people unlimited access to our lives. Sometimes distance is absolutely appropriate. But disagreement and danger are not the same thing.

Difference and disrespect are also not the same thing. And somebody making choices we wouldn’t make does not automatically make them our enemy...

So instead of only talking about the people who have forgotten how to be neighbors, I’m genuinely curious about the people who ARE doing something different.

Who out there is actually BUILDING bridges? Who has walked across the road and introduced themselves to the neighbor everyone else warned them about? Who is bringing them food, water, gas, propane, etc...?

Who has repaired a relationship after a misunderstanding? Who has sat down with someone whose beliefs are completely different and discovered they actually had more in common than expected? Who has decided that cooperation matters more than being right? Who has helped somebody they didn’t particularly like simply because that person needed help? Who has turned an enemy back into a neighbor?

I want to hear THOSE stories. Because maybe we need fewer examples of people screaming their values at one another……and more examples of people actually LIVING them.

Peace isn’t just something we post. Love isn’t just something we preach to those in our church. In fact LOVE in an action...
Community isn’t something we put on a sign. Those things become real in the incredibly ordinary ways we treat the humans standing closest to us...

Maybe changing the world doesn’t always begin somewhere far away. Maybe sometimes it begins by walking across the road...

I want to hear your stories of BRIDGE BUILDING!!!

A Little Clarification About Herbal Advice, “Gatekeeping,” and Why This Medicine Woman Has Boundaries...

Every once in a while, someone online gets upset with me because I won't simply tell a stranger on the internet, “Take this herb for that problem.”
Recently, I was actually called a gatekeeper for exactly that. LOL So I thought this might be a good time to explain something about the way I practice...

First of all, I take this VERY SERIOUSLY. I don't mess around with patchwork and chasing symptoms. AND I don't mess around with taking chances harming someone due to lack of knowledge.

I am not interested in gatekeeping herbal knowledge in any way....give me a break. That's impossible anyways. AND there are TONS of people on the internet that want you to think they have THE answer for your condition. There are also lot's of great teachers out there.....the cat is out of the bag and has been for a long time. lol Herbal knowledge was known by literally everyone at one time...

I LOVE teaching about plants and have for almost 2 decades, FOR FREE! I like to share their history, potential uses, folklore, chemistry, research, growing information, food uses, and the things I have learned along the way all the time.
What I will NOT do is look at a random name on a screen, hear one symptom or diagnosis, and start handing out personalized herbal treatment advice as though every human body is an interchangeable one size fits all robot.

That isn't gatekeeping to me. That is responsibility. Herbs are powerful and "natural” does not automatically mean harmless, appropriate for everyone, or in every situation.

Before suggesting something medicinally, I get with the person and find out MUCH more about them to help us make the right decision for THEM and their unique circumstances........ not just w***y nilly suggest something to a stranger that could literally kill them!

Yeah, that CAN happen if you don't know the person and their meds, alergies and basic info! Strangers on the internet calling me names do not get a free pass or get to degrade my boundaries.
BEFORE I ever suggest "what I would do," I get to know the person and ask questions like:

- What else is happening in the body?
- What medications or supplements are involved?
- What have you already tried?
- What allergies or sensitivities exist?
- What is the person's age and general condition?
- Is pregnancy a possibility?
- What other symptoms have been overlooked?

And perhaps most importantly…....

- WHAT IS ACTUALLY AT THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM???

I don't particularly enjoy playing whack a mole with symptoms. I've been doing this far too long. My work has always been about looking deeper. If somebody tells me their head hurts, my first thought isn't simply, “What herb makes headaches go away?” I want to know why the head hurts.
Could it be due to dehydration, tension, stress, infection, blood sugar, eyestrain, injury, hormones, medication, lack of sleep or even something entirely different??? By the way, I did a whole 2 hour show JUST on headaches for that very reason.....explaining all the different types of headaches.......

Those are NOT the same situation just because the symptom, "headache," has the same name.

And that lesson was something I learned over time. Years ago, I was much more willing to toss suggestions into internet conversations because someone asked. Inhale peppermint oil! Take this, take that!!! lol I was eager to "help" any stranger asking how to suppress symptoms of an unknown cause they refuse to share through the proper channels.

Experience taught me to stop doing that. Knowing more made me MORE cautious with information, not less.
There are plenty of places online...facebook groups, especially, where someone will enthusiastically tell you what herb to take after reading 2 sentences about your life. I see it all the time in the groups. Literally hundreds of comments with hundreds of different approaches....all thinking they have the "right answer!"

I am simply not going to be one of them. If someone comes to me DIRECTLY and wants me to really look at their situation, that is different. Then we can have a conversation. We can ask questions. We can look for patterns, hostory, traumas... We can talk about possibilities and risks and decide what deserves further investigation.

But bullying, insults, guilt, or accusations of “gatekeeping” are never going to convince me to abandon a boundary I developed because I take medicine and life itself, seriously.

And there is another important piece of this............there is almost never only ONE herb, ONE protocol, or ONE answer. Healing isn't a recipe card where every person with the same label gets the same ingredients. You've watched that happen in main stream medicine for almost a century and how's that working out??? :D
Humans and Plants are both complex. Bodies are unique and complicated. There is much more involved than just how you feel that particular moment. Homans have emotions, mental states, spiritual situations.....NOT just physical! And I think they deserve more respect than a drive by prescription in a Facebook comment section.

So yes.........I will continue sharing plant knowledge freely when apprpriate. I will continue teaching when I can. I will continue talking about research, traditional knowledge, food, gardens, medicine, and the incredible relationships humans have had with plants for thousands of years. But personalized herbal advice requires more than a stranger's screen name and a symptom if you want it to work. So if that makes me a gatekeeper in someone's eyes, I can live with that. No problem.

I call it having a gate for a reason. Some gates aren't built to keep knowledge out. They're there to make sure we enter carefully.

I am Blessed to do what I do and I take it VERY seriously and will not diminish MY approach to suit an online stranger. Ever. :)

Thank you for hearing me. If you do want my help, I DO offer sessions where we go over ALL of these things, and more....but if you want to send me a message saying, "What do I take for this, and if you don't tell me, you're a jerk," you will be met with deaf ears.

Also, just because something has helped YOU, does not mean it's a universal "cure" for everyone else. Ask me how I know? Heck, even after I died, SOME things I used to do that worked, no longer did. Why? Life, chemistry, circumstance........................things change. And so do I when I discover the carelessness of what I did previously sharing with everyone before I knew the important specifics. I'm actually writing a book about my journey discovering this.
I get it. You want to help. So do I. But watching a couple videos online does NOT make you a responsible herbalist, a medicine woman or a shaman. I value myself and what I do AND the people I work with and will NEVER dilute it to make a stranger "like" me.

Hate me all you want.....that's on you....I will sleep sound knowing I didn't let my ego get in the way pretneding I have the universal answer for everyone!

Meet One of Our Amazing Native Plants!

Whether you call them Passiflora Incarnata, Native Passionflower, Maypop or Wild Passionfruit, they are just about the only reason for August in our climate. lol

I have MORE maypops ripening than I can possibly eat or preserve, so I thought I would offer some more of them to anyone who would like to try one, save the seeds, or learn a little more about this incredible native plant.

These cute little green egg shaped fruits are maypops, or Passiflora incarnata, our native passionflower/passionfruit. And they are SO much more interesting than they look! I know many people around here call them w**ds and let them go to waste, or even worse, try to kill them, but THIS PLANT HAS BEEN HERE A VERY LONG TIME....and for MANY great reasons!

Long before Europeans arrived, Indigenous peoples of the southeastern United States were eating and using maypop in various forms. The ripe fruits were eaten fresh and made into drinks, and some Natives also cooked the young shoots as food. Different parts of the plant were traditionally used medicinally as well.

So this isn't some exotic “superfood” that suddenly appeared on an internet health page. It is a native food plant with thousands of years of human history right here in our little neck of the woods in North America. And I absolutely LOVE that we are so Blesseed to host this amazing and beneficial plant!

THE FRUIT......When ripe, maypop has a wonderfully fragrant, sweet-tart pulp surrounding crunchy edible seeds. I have been eating them pretty much every day while they're in season and I take a form of it daily in my Nerve Align Tincture and my Sacred Ceremonial Blend. Also, as tempting as they are to eat while perfectly green and firm, the real flavor comes out the more it ripens....when it becomes yellow and wrinkled! I know it's hard to wait, but.....ifyou can............... lol

The fruit provides things like Vitamin C, fiber, antioxidants, polyphenols and carotenoids. Also, there are naturally occurring beneficial compounds in the seeds as well!

And YES, if you aren't adverse to crunch, you eat the seeds too!
Just scoop out the inside and eat the pulp and seeds together. Of course, if you're like me, why wait for a kitchen and a spoon??? :D

I just pop open and squeeze the pulp in my mouth before I get anywhere near a kitchen. And because they are so hardy, they will grow wherever you put them. I drop the seeds where I want them to come up next year, covering up all my ugly fences! :) No fancy greenhouse starts needed.

THE PASSIONFLOWER HERB - Maypop is also the famous medicinal passionflower used by modern herbalists all over the world. Traditionally, the leaves, stems and flowers have been valued as a calming herb and used for things such as nervousness, restlessness, tension, stress, anxiety and sleeplessness. Many use it to help the body settle down at the end of the day in an infusion, tisane or "tea."
AND this is one of those wonderful cases where traditional herbal knowledge has begun meeting modern research.

Human studies indexed in PubMed, the National Library of Medicine, have found evidence that Passiflora Incarnata preparations may help with anxiety, stress and sleep. One randomized clinical study in adults with insomnia found increased total sleep time with passionflower. And a more recent randomized, double-blind study also found improvements in perceived stress, sleep time and psychological well-being in people experiencing stress and insomnia.

That doesn't mean passionflower is a cure-all, but................I have found it very helpful especially for women in the hormone changing ages. And while herbal preparations aren't the same thing as simply eating a maypop, I find it fascinating when plants with a very long traditional reputation begin showing measurable effects in modern research too!

AND THE WILDLIFE LOVES IT! Maypop isn't only useful to humans. Those spectacular purple flowers feed pollinators, and passionflower vines are an important host plant for fritillary butterflies. So when you grow maypops, don't be surprised if caterpillars start munching away. That's not necessarily something attacking your plant…you may be growing butterflies!

And once maypop is happy somewhere, it REALLY likes being there. It spreads through underground runners and can pop up in completely unexpected places, which is allegedly where the name “maypop” is thought to come from. I personally believe it could come from the pop sound made when you accidentally step on one, and the fact that they start to pop up in May. This part is not proven science...it is simply my observations. :)

WANT SOME?
I have plenty ripening right now and I'm happy to share while Mother Nature is providing them. Come get a ripe fruit to taste, take some home, save the seeds and maybe start your own little patch of native passionflower. FREE, while I have extras.

PLEASE NOTE that medicinal use of the leaves/flowers is a different subject entirely, especially if you're pregnant, taking medications, or using sedatives, so ALWAYS check with your medical professional before starting this or any other herb as aome can and will interact negatively with certain medications.

Otherwise…Find yourself a maypop, crack that beautiful burst of flavor open and discover one more amazing food that has been growing right under our noses. Sometimes the most extraordinary plants aren't growing somewhere exotic.

They're literally growing in our own backyards! :)

A Little Reminder About Gratitude

Sometimes we get so busy moving through life that we forget to notice what is already right in front of us.

- The flowers blooming.
- The birds singing, butterflies flutering by.
- A cool breeze amidst the heat.
- A good cup of tea or coffee.
- An animal curled up beside us.
- Someone checking in, loved ones.
- A meal and the ability to cook it and eat it.
- A safe place to rest, a roof.
- A moment of quiet.
- Another day to try again.

Gratitude doesn’t mean everything in life is perfect.

It just means we stop long enough to recognize that, even in the middle of an ordinary day, there is usually something good here too.

I was thinking about an old video I made years ago, before I think I even really understood what gratitude was. And somehow, even then, I was beginning to figure out how important it is to notice the little things.

Maybe that’s part of the practice. Not waiting until life is perfect to be grateful. Just looking around and asking:

- What is good RIGHT NOW?
- What is beautiful RIGHT NOW?
- What do I have today that I don’t want to take for granted?

So while you wander through the garden with me for a few minutes, I’d love to know…
What are YOU grateful for today?

Big things, tiny things, serious things, silly things....it all counts.
From someone who used to not be able to talk and walk, with zero income or family, I know I ALWAYS have tons to be grateful for....especially the little things most hardly ever even notice.

Maybe we can fill the comments with a whole bunch of things worth noticing and remembering, even on less than perfect days...?

A Little Herbal-Tique Weekend Update

I really did think about opening the Herbal-Tique this weekend… Then I decided I should take my own advice. 😂

Between all the behind the scenes website stuff, the extra work due to the extended heatwave, being behind on making products, and everything else that seems to multiply while I’m not looking, I realized opening the shop too would probably just turn into me stressing myself out trying to do ALL THE THINGS at once. lol

So… The Herbal-Tique itself will stay closed this weekend, and I’m giving myself a few days to catch up, make things, mow things, w**d things, move things, and generally do all the glamorous “sweat work” nobody sees so the garden is more enjoyable for everyone after the heatwave.

The GOOD news is the weather is looking much more tolerable, so if you’d like to come wander the gardens, sit for a while, say hello, enjoy the property, or just escape into the flowers and butterflies for a bit, you are absolutely still welcome to come by.

And if you INSIST on shopping, I won't say no and will gladly open it up for you... just know there is a very good chance you’ll find me sweaty, dirty, mowing something, carrying something, yelling at cats or talking to plants. 😂

And even though the shop hasn't been open for the last couple weeks of the brutal heatwave, that certainly doesn’t mean nothing new has been happening…in fact MORE beautiful clothes have arrived!

So as a little thank you for everyone’s patience while I get caught up, when the Herbal-Tique reopens for regular hours NEXT weekend, we’re offering:

- 20% OFF ALL CLOTHING
- NEXT WEEKEND ONLY

Everything. New arrivals included.

So this weekend is for gardens, catching up, creating, mowing, and breathing…

And next weekend, we SHOP. 😂

Thank you all so much for your patience and supporting this beautiful little place while I keep building it one piece at a time. As always, I am available for appointments most days if you can't wait! :)

I look forward to seeing you all soon!

Why I Started Ozarks Church of Nature

Every once in a while someone asks me why I created this place, and I’m not sure I’ve ever really answered it all in one place.
The truth is, Ozarks Church of Nature didn’t begin as a business idea....
It grew out of a life.

A life that has included illness, loss, starting over repeatedly, homelessness, fear, healing, gardens, animals, herbs, music, food, strangers who became friends, and more than a few moments when I had absolutely no idea what came next. Many of those moments searching for a place like this, that was always in the back of my mind...and some of those moments begging to end it all...literally.

Through all of those years, Nature was one of the few places that never asked me who I was supposed to be. A plant never cared what label others had put on me. A tree never asked what I believed. The dirt didn’t care how much money I had...Animals didn’t need a resume.
Nature simply kept teaching me. "Pay attention. Get curious. Learn. Grow. Begin again...

Somewhere along the way, I realized I wanted to create a place built around those same ideas.
- A place where someone could walk through a garden and discover that the “w**d” beneath their feet had a name and a history.
- A place where ALL were welcome and people could learn about herbs, food, plants, traditional knowledge, creativity, music, animals and the natural world.
- A place where you could shop for something handmade, sit for a while, ask questions, wander around, laugh, learn something, or simply breathe and not feel rushed or pushed out to make room for the next.
- A place where nobody had to believe exactly what I believe in order to be welcome...and vice versa.

That became Ozarks Church of Nature and the Magical Food Forest.
And yes, there is a little Herbal-Tique tucked inside it. That little Herbal-Tique is the only one of it's kind and is the tiniest maximalist boutique in the world today! :)

But the shop was never the whole dream...in fact that came MUCH later....accidentally really. I'm not a business person, if you can't tell. lol I was just trying to create a place of respite and healing for all who needed.

The dream was the gardens, the classes, the herbs, the food, animals, music, conversations and community... The possibility that somebody might leave here knowing one more plant than they knew when they arrived, or feeling a little more connected to this interesting, beautiful living world we all belong to. Maybe even feeling a little more connected to themselves...

I didn’t build this because I think I have all the answers. Quite the opposite. I've been learning as I go. Not waiting to have all the answers before I begin....but by DOing...to the best of my ability. My life has taught me that some of the most important things happen when we become willing to keep asking questions.
So I built a place for curiosity...a place for learning...a place for creating... A place for growing things...plants, food, ideas, friendships, and occasionally extremely spoiled animals. 😂

And after everything it took to get here, perhaps the simplest answer is this...
I wanted to build something beautiful out of everything that once hurt. Something useful, alive, something that could be shared...
A place where people are not divided by religion and politics...and can just BE LOVE and LOVED!

That’s the real reasons behind why I started Ozarks Church of Nature.

And somehow, little by little, all of you are helping me turn it into something even bigger than I imagined.

Thank you all so much for being part of this magical and healing creation! I am so Honored I was chosen for this path and it's always an Honor to Serve You!

Friends and neighbors… I really can’t thank you enough for the outpouring of love and support since my last little “poo post.” ❤️

I was frustrated, hurt, tired, and trying to figure out what direction I wanted to take next, and I honestly wasn’t prepared for the amount of kindness, encouragement, comments, messages, and support that came back to me!!! THANK YOU....TRULY...

You really do know how to lift someone up when they need it most, and that is one of the many reasons I LOVE AND ADORE YOU ALL SO MUCH. ❤️

So much so, apparently I built you gardens to wander around in and learn about herbs, hands on, in a beautiful setting with some homegrown "tea!" 😂

I also meant what I said about wanting that last post to be the last public post about the ongoing harassment and people trying to tear down what I’ve worked so hard to build. They certainly don’t deserve permanent real estate in our minds, our hearts, or our pages.
I looked at that post as the last public notice.

I have the documents, videos, texts, posts, threats, correspondence, and witness statements I’ve collected for nearly three years organized and preserved. If anything further happens - if I am threatened, harassed, confronted, or otherwise need to address something, I intend to handle it through the appropriate legal channels rather than trying to litigate my life on Facebook. :D

I would much rather utilyze this space showing you the gardens, herbs, inspiration, animals, music, food, ridiculous hoses attached to my hip, and all the things we’re actually building here!

But since I’m also pretty committed to full disclosure and authenticity, there is one separate matter I’ve been asked about quite a bit recently...
What happened with the Lead Hill/Diamond City Area Chamber of Commerce, and why am I no longer involved?

In a nutshell, I truly don't really know...as I can't pretend to know what's in the minds of others. I didn’t want to create a Facebook pile-on. And I certainly didn’t want to make accusations I couldn’t support....So I took my time.

I went back through the actual communications (and lack thereof), documents, dates, bylaws, and correspondence and put the timeline in one place so anyone who is genuinely interested can read it for themselves.

This is NOT written to tell anyone what to think, feel or believe.
It’s there so you can see what happened, what was said, what I asked for, and why I still have questions.

I never wanted money from any of this. I wanted the situation handled fairly, transparently, and appropriately.

I can't thank you all enough for reminding me over the last few days that I don’t have to make every decision while standing in the middle of the storm. Thank you for the kindness. Thank you for the encouragement. And thank you for caring about this unique little place I’m building out here in our tiny neck of the woods, nearly as much as I do. ❤️

Now… back to gardens, herbs, animals, shipping orders, battling websites, moving the perpetually needy hose, and wrestling 40-foot shipping containers into submission. 😂

For anyone who has asked about the Chamber situation, here is the full statement:
https://ozarkschurchofnature.com/chamberofcommerce/

Thankfully, it's almost September so there should be plenty of wonderful things to share...including a reduction in the convection oven we've been living in. :)

Why I Am No Longer Participating in the Lead Hill-Diamond City Area Chamber of Commerce I have thought for quite some time about whether I wanted to say anything publicly about my experience with our local Chamber of Commerce. I have no interest in suing anyone for money, even though it would be qui...
