There is something special about building right here in our own community!

MEJA Construction is proud to be part of Phase II of the Fayette County Animal Shelter, a project that will provide expanded space and improved amenities for the animals, staff, volunteers, and residents it serves.

We are grateful to work alongside Fayette County, GA, Government, Morgan Mill Consulting, and Pond Architects to bring this important project to life. Strong communities are built through trust, collaboration, and relationships, and we are proud to be part of this team.

We are excited to get to work and see the positive impact this project will have right here in our community!

Fayette County officials broke ground Thursday on Phase 2 of the animal shelter. The 3,218-square-foot facility will feature 24 interior and exterior kennels, four large animal pens, and six large outdoor dog pens. Citizens and volunteers will also have access to mulched walking trails, a gazebo and a pavilion. The project is scheduled for completion in early May 2027. Fayette County Animal Shelter

Welcome Back to School!

Back to school is here, and there is nothing better than seeing students walk through the doors of a school that is ready for a new year.

We’re proud to highlight several schools that were completed on time and ready for students. From summer renovations to new construction, each project reflects our commitment to delivering quality spaces where students can learn, teachers can inspire, and communities can thrive.

We are proud to partner with Perkins&Will, not only on projects but also in our communities where we can make a lasting impact together.

This year, the MEJA Construction team had the opportunity to help hand out backpacks and school supplies to students at Mableton Elementary School in Cobb County Schools during the 2026 Backpack Bash. Seeing the excitement on the students’ faces as they prepared for a new school year was a great reminder of how meaningful it is to invest in the next generation.

Thank you to Perkins&Will for organizing this incredible event year after year and for creating opportunities to give back alongside great partners. We are grateful to be part of it and look forward to continuing this tradition together.

Celebrating a New Beginning!

We were proud to join Clayton County Public Schools in celebrating the ribbon cutting of the new Riverdale Early Learning Center.

Completed on time and ready for students, this beautiful new school provides bright, engaging spaces designed to support learning, creativity, and discovery from the very first day of school.

One of the best moments of the celebration was watching students explore their new classrooms and learning spaces. Seeing their excitement is what makes every milestone worth celebrating.

A huge thank you to Clayton County Public Schools, PBK, our trade partners, and everyone who helped bring this project to life. We are honored to help build places where students will learn, grow, and thrive for years to come.
