At Splendid Development, every element is chosen to work together, from the ceiling down to the floor.
Cabinetry. Full-height custom white oak cabinetry in a natural finish, with shaker doors, applied crown, and glass-front uppers. Matte black bar pulls throughout. A custom wood hood surround, built by our team to match the cabinetry, anchors the cooking wall.
Ceiling. A recessed tray ceiling framed by exposed white oak beams, with recessed lighting set between them and a linear pendant defining the dining space.
The island. An oversized quartzite island with dramatic movement in the stone, finished with a full waterfall edge and mitered corners so the veining runs unbroken from the countertop to the floor. It houses an undermount sink with a matte black pull-down faucet, with generous prep space and seating.
Backsplash and counters. Full-height black stone slab with bold white veining, carried across the perimeter counters. Slab, not tile, so the pattern runs continuous behind the range.
Appliances. A professional-grade stainless gas range, a stainless double wall oven, and a counter-depth French-door refrigerator.
Lighting and flooring. Integrated under-cabinet and toe-kick LED lighting gives the cabinetry a floating effect at night. Wide-plank white oak floors run throughout, with a large picture window bringing in wooded views and natural light.
