Another one out the door. Whew. Have two more to complete. One for a coworker and another one that was just ordered. This one had a lot of requests with it. I don’t typically do that with these as they’re hard enough but it was for a Marine’s retirement. I’ll certainly do what I can for those who serve our country!

Had a fun custom hanging seat plaque I did. Finished a couple cutting board holders up and got them out as well. This weekend is for finishing a coin cabinet, a standing gear caddy, and a hanging wall caddy as well.

Yesterday was super productive. I got a ton done. More than I planned, actually and I couldn’t be happier! Two cutting boards almost done, a coin cabinet ready for assembly, a plaque ready for the CNC, and since I had time I got all the wood cut for a collapsible gear caddy. It will be in walnut and since I had some exotic wood laying around it will now have tiger wood accents! The two should pair quite nicely! Even got the wood cut for another cutting board order that came in yesterday.

Today’s goal- get the plaque and cutting boards rubbed with finish. Let them sit and buff then pack. Same for the cabinet. This part of the process to the end usually takes about three hours before packing. Four to five after. I’m hoping to be able to have it packed tonight as well. It’s already three days late so it needs to get out the door!

Easy going night. Wrapped up this cutting board holder and got it boxed up and ready to ship. Got the second coats of paint on the plaque. Now I just have to sand the top, paint two of the large sections and apply some finish! Meanwhile I’ve started another coin cabinet, cutting board holder, and SWAT plaque. Those will be followed up with a collapsible gear caddy and a wall mounted gear caddy. I’m almost completely caught up on orders for the first time in four months. I’m SO thankful for the support and everyone who has me build something!

Last night was fun as well because we spent a bit of time lighting fireworks! Once done I went into the shop to wrap up and my sweet girl wandered in and wanted to help. So, she helped pack the holder, helped me put new hardware up, and then helped me clean the whole shop up. She’s so sweet and I enjoyed being able to spend some time in the shop with her!

Happy 4th of July everyone! Stay safe!

Got another cabinet wrapped up. Tomorrow it and the cutting board holder will go to their new homes. I’ll finish buffing the oil in and pack them up. Got to glue up on the flag stand and I didn’t like my design so I’m swapping it up. Had to cut and mill all new wood. It’ll get assembled and glued up first thing tomorrow!

Staying busy as always! Finally got some covers made for my laser and chiller so they’re not getting covered in sawdust so easily. Got a new hanger for the mini vac off Etsy. Solid buy!

I’m finishing a cabinet, just shipped a farkle board and these stands off, have to do a cutting board holder and flag stand, then a custom SWAT plaque. That’s not all. Just what’s up next. Busy and blessed as always!!

Finally got myself a shop computer. No more stealing and banging up the wife’s laptop!! Had a techy buddy of mine find me three ones to choose from on a budget. With 16gig ram this one should be able to handle running my CNC and Laser well along with all the CAD programs.

Right at $500 on sale so I’m pumped!! Wanted a MacBook because I prefer Apple but this will work while I save up. Just glad to have one dedicated that can get beat up!

Got a lot done this weekend. Gear caddy is out the door. Two cutting board holders next, then two challenge coin cabinets. I'm lucky for the clients patience on this next one. It started three weeks ago and I'm finally catching up. This foot and a half tall plaque came off the CNC a week ago and I spent the time tediously preparing it to be painted. It's ready for paint and a clear coat then off to it's home!

It's no secret I'm a Bauer fan. I've got most of their tool line. They've always gotten the job done and none of their tools have been faulty. I've been waiting ages for them to come out with a pin nailer but I'm done waiting. As I've progressed I've needed access to a wider variety of tools. Harber Freight seems to be focused on making better versions of the Bauer tools they already have as opposed to adding to the line. I guess I'm saying I've outgrown them at this point.

It might be stupid but colors make a difference to me. I don't like yellow so a shop full of it isn't an option for me. For now, I've had a Dewalt drill for a few years that was a gift so I have a few batteries and charger along with a cordless Dewalt fan. I don't want a crap ton of different tool chargers and batteries so I added the Dewalt pin nailer and now my Dewalt stuff has a permanent home on the wall!!

I'm still trying to figure out what line to move to. Right now I have it narrowed down to Makita or Ridgid. Anyone have those that has any insight? I've used both and they're amazing and will have all the power I need and more along with a wide tool line. For now... I'm out of space on my cleat walls. I've rearranged them completely lately and I'm just flat out full.
