🌨️ Storm Aftermath – Electrical Check

⚠️ Electrical Safety PSA ⚠️
“The outlet feels hot…”
And it begins.
This is what we found on a recent service call:
❌ Two electric heaters plugged into the same circuit
❌ A 15-amp breaker swapped to a 30-amp so it “wouldn’t trip anymore”
❌ Original wiring and outlets still in place
🚫 This is never a fix.
Breakers trip for a reason — to prevent fires.
Upsizing a breaker without upgrading the wiring defeats that protection and can lead to: 🔥 Overheated wiring
🔥 Melted outlets
🔥 Electrical fires
💡 Important:
Portable heaters draw a lot of power. Two heaters can overload a standard circuit by themselves.
If an outlet feels warm or hot: 👉 That’s not normal
👉 That’s a warning sign
👉 That needs to be checked
✅ The right solution: ✔ Dedicated circuits for heaters
✔ Properly sized breakers and wiring
✔ Evaluation by a licensed electrician
🛑 If your breaker keeps tripping — don’t upsize it. Fix the problem.
