A good rain might feel like spring, but it’s also when we start seeing flooded basements.
Before the next storm rolls in, here are 3 quick things worth checking:
• Make sure your sump pump is working (pour a little water in it!)
• Clear out your gutters and downspouts
• Check that water is draining AWAY from your home

A few minutes now can save a major headache later.

Let’s Talk Tarping! 🏠🌧️

Following a storm or strong wind, if you ever find yourself with missing shingles or even a tree on your home, here are a few things homeowners should know:

• Emergency tarping is typically covered by homeowners insurance. Even if you can’t reach your agent right away, protecting your home from further damage is part of the claim process.

• Don’t risk climbing on your roof. Storm damage can make roofs unstable, and improper tarping can cause additional damage that may not be covered.

• Professional crews assume the risk and liability. Our team has the equipment and experience to secure your home safely.

• Tarp ASAP. The faster exposed areas are covered, the better chance you have of preventing interior damage.

• You don’t have to wait for your adjuster. Emergency mitigation can happen immediately—we’ll document everything for your claim.

• We coordinate the next steps. If there’s a tree on the home or debris causing damage, we can arrange safe removal and ensure all exposed areas are properly covered.
