Petty Officer 2nd Class Robert Boyd Jenkins was a dedicated U.S. Navy Seabee and a decorated construction tradesman. He tragically lost his life on May 2, 2004, at the age of 35 while serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was killed by hostile mortar fire in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq.
He was a highly experienced Sailor, having proudly served as a Navy Reservist for 14 years before his deployment to Iraq.
Bobby was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and lived in Stuart, Florida with his wife, Elizabeth.
They had recently bought a home and were eagerly hoping to start a family just prior to his deployment.
This Memorial Day, J&J Mechanical pauses with the utmost respect and gratitude to remember Petty Officer Jenkins and his fellow fallen service members. Their sacrifice and bravery will never be forgotten.
