The Lake George camp is finally complete, just need the mason to finish the chimney with reclaimed brick. This camp project started about two years ago when the house build next door started, it was put on the back burner while the house was being completed. For a small camp it was a big project. It started by being lifted up off its crumbling stone foundation and was then moved about 200 feet back so a new foundation could be built in its original position. After the foundation was complete the camp was moved back and finally lowered on its new foundation.

Saturday’s job was a little out of the norm for us, a commercial store front. A piece of the store front had come loose and fallen out at some point, we bent up a new piece of aluminum and installed it. In and out, perfect job for a Saturday afternoon. Customer just needs to do some painting and it’ll be better than new. Give us a call for your free estimate @ 518-470-7982

That’s a wrap! Lake George build is finished. Thank you to all my customers who have been patiently waiting me to start there projects. My work up north is complete, time buckle down and get my local customers projects going.
Lots of customs features on this house, the brick on the front porch is from the chimney of the original camp on the property. All the hardwood flooring was milled from large oak trees on the property, some of the left over logs that didn’t get milled for flooring was used for the kitchen table, floating selves in kitchen and the hood over the stove. The front door and all the closet doors in the house are from the original camp that got demolished to make room for this house. I built many pieces from scratch by hand including the giant fully adjustable built-in shelves in the main hallway, the wrap around built-in bench seating w/storage in the kitchen, toe kick drawer under the pantry cabinet and the hood over the stove.
The siding on the house was the most time consuming, it’s Lp smartside vertical nickel gap siding. The soffits are all 1x6 t&g Douglas fir with lineal soffit vent. The front and back porches are also finished in 1x6 Douglas fir.

We recently had our home soft washed by Delorenzo Exterior Care, they did a phenomenal job at a very reasonable cost. If you are looking to help grow a start up company while supporting a local business I highly recommend them. They paid very close attention to all the small details and did not interfere with any of our landscaping around the house, not to mention the siding looks brand new. Call Delorenzo Exterior Care at (838)333-9192, mention Casso Carpentry and get a $50 dollar credit.

Casso Carpenty has expanded! I’ve teamed up with a good friend and contractor, (JP Craftsman) from up north to build custom homes on Lake George and the surrounding area. This has been in the works for awhile now and we’ve hit the ground running, together we’ve formed Collective Builders LLC.
Our first build for this partnership is underway, it’s a custom home on Assembly Point. We started out demolishing the camp that was existing on the property, then started building a new custom home. Along with the new house we also took on the task of moving another camp located on the same property. We elevated the camp and placed it on a new foundation with a walk out basement. We’re currently in the middle of the build and couldn’t be happier with the new partnership and the progress. Looking forward to what the future holds for Collective Builders LLC.
In addition to Collective Builders, Casso Carpentry will still remain fully up and running so please don’t hesitate to call for your free estimate, 518-470-7982. I thank you for your continued support.

Had a few uncontrollable delays on this addition, between the new electrical service and the special order siding (which matches the existing house siding perfectly, it was worth the wait). This in-law addition came together nicely.
