That’s a wrap! Lake George build is finished. Thank you to all my customers who have been patiently waiting me to start there projects. My work up north is complete, time buckle down and get my local customers projects going.
Lots of customs features on this house, the brick on the front porch is from the chimney of the original camp on the property. All the hardwood flooring was milled from large oak trees on the property, some of the left over logs that didn’t get milled for flooring was used for the kitchen table, floating selves in kitchen and the hood over the stove. The front door and all the closet doors in the house are from the original camp that got demolished to make room for this house. I built many pieces from scratch by hand including the giant fully adjustable built-in shelves in the main hallway, the wrap around built-in bench seating w/storage in the kitchen, toe kick drawer under the pantry cabinet and the hood over the stove.
The siding on the house was the most time consuming, it’s Lp smartside vertical nickel gap siding. The soffits are all 1x6 t&g Douglas fir with lineal soffit vent. The front and back porches are also finished in 1x6 Douglas fir.
