From a leaking bedroom ceiling to a completed new roof in Elkridge, MD. 🏠

For this Penny Lane project, we installed a GAF - Roofing system featuring Timberline UHDZ shingles in Weathered Wood, WeatherWatch leak barrier, FeltBuster underlayment, Pro-Start starter strips, Seal-A-Ridge caps, and Cobra ridge ventilation. All roofing debris was hauled off-site.

💧 WATER INTRUSION REPAIR — FROM INVESTIGATION TO WATERPROOFING

What started as a moisture issue turned into some detective work.

We opened the wall, removed the affected insulation and materials, exposed the CMU foundation, and performed additional testing to help isolate the source of the water intrusion.

Once exposed, the masonry was thoroughly prepared, vulnerable joints and areas were sealed, and we applied Sika® Thoroseal®-581 directly to the block as a cementitious negative-side waterproofing system.

You can see the progression in the photos — from the initial investigation and thermal imaging to a fully exposed and waterproofed foundation wall.

The important part happens before the drywall goes back. Covering a water problem doesn't fix it. Proper investigation, preparation, and waterproofing does.

Now we let the system cure before moving into reconstruction. 🔨
