We’re excited to officially introduce Verna Grove, Watson Home’s first land development project. 🌳

Verna Grove was thoughtfully developed by Watson Homes with the vision of creating spacious, estate-sized homesites that preserve the character of Old Florida while giving future owners the freedom to create a property that truly feels like their own. While we would absolutely love the opportunity to build your custom home, purchasing a homesite at Verna Grove does not require you to build with Watson Homes.

Verna Grove is made up of seven estate-sized homesites in Myakka: five approximately 5–5.25 acres, currently offered at $575,000 per homesite, and two approximately 6.5–6.9 acres, currently offered at $695,000.

The property was formerly an orange grove, and mature citrus trees still remain throughout the land producing oranges seasonally. We recently wrapped up this Florida room addition and we are so happy with how it turned out.

We stepped into this project after the homeowners had started with another contractor and unfortunately weren’t having the experience they had hoped for. The project was still in its early stages, but making the decision to change contractors is never easy. From day one our goal was to earn their trust, get the project moving in the right direction, and give them a finished space they could be proud of.

The project was about 500 sq. ft. and included a new foundation and floor, constructing two new exterior walls, impact windows and doors, tongue and groove ceilings with new lighting, board and batten, stucco, and quite a few other details throughout.

We’re really happy with how everything turned out, but getting a review like this afterward makes it even better. We try to put a lot of importance on communication and doing things the right way, so it means a lot when a customer notices those things.

Thank you Leslie and Phil for trusting us with your home! We really enjoyed working with you both and hope you enjoy the new space for many years to come!

Barndominium progress in Parrish!

This project is just over 4,000 sq. ft. under roof, with approximately 2,000 sq. ft. of living space and plenty of room left for the shop/garage.

The metal building is almost officially dried in. Next up we’ll be starting the wrap-around porch, custom garage doors, and interior framing. Excited to see this one continue to come together!
