Hello Everyone, hope you all had a great holiday season. I did, and during that time I saw some things that seem to be the usual going on around town. I met several clients that let handymen do electrical work for them, because they were there to do other work and said they could handle the electrical. Very convenient, but not when you have to call a Licensed Electrician like me to fix the problem after it was supposed to have been taken care of. Now you've paid twice for one fix, and that is definitely not what you expected. I know things sound great when it comes to one person doing it all. I've done this for years to learn the art of troubleshooting electrical issues and there is a reason the state doesn't let you become licensed in your field unless you have a minimum of 5 years working experience, plus class hours and testing. Yes, changing an outlet or a switch looks easy and straight forward. To the non electrically licensed contractors out there, you should stay away from electrical. Save the customer some grief and worry and tell them they should call an electrician. Electricity is invisible death and something as simple as changing an outlet or switch could cost you your credibility when I come in behind you to fix what you should have done correctly and explain to the client how you did something that could have caused a fire, or just as small as cost them more money to have me come fix your work. Hope your year brings great things and thanks for reading this post! Quality over Quantity! Take Care!
