Over the 33 years, I’ve learned that life doesn’t always turn out the way we imagined. People leave, relationships change, and sometimes even the people we thought would always be there are no longer part of our lives. My own family has chosen to have no contact with us, and I’ve watched friendships that once felt like family fade away. Those experiences have taught me just how precious it is to have someone who chooses to stay.
Thirty-three years ago, I found that someone in David.
If you know me, you know I’m not always the easiest person to love. 😂 I’m loud, opinionated, sensitive, caring, insecure, nurturing, and probably a dozen other things depending on the day. I have my flaws, my emotions, my strong opinions, and my moments. But through every version of me, David has remained by my side.
And the older I get, the more I realize what an extraordinary gift that is. To have someone who has witnessed your best and your worst, who has weathered life’s storms with you, and who continues to choose you after 33 years… that is a kind of blessing I will never take for granted.
Thank you, David, for loving me through every chapter, every change, and every imperfect part of who I am. When so much in life has changed, you have been my constant.
Happy 33rd anniversary to my person. ❤️ I’d choose you all over again, and I’ll keep choosing you for the rest of my life. 🥂
WE ARE MOST CERTAINLY “BETTER TOGETHER”
