Hello from Grass is Greener Lawn Care! Just a PSA that daytime temps are currently in the 70’s, and night time temps are hovering in the 50’s for the last couple weeks. Yet your sprinklers are still running like it’s 90 during the day and 70 at night. Time to use the % button on your sprinkler timer and turn down the amount of water your property is getting. Just go to the % setting on your timer and turn it down by 40%. Every plant that is sprinklered or dripped on your property will get 40% less water then it usually does. Good for your plants, good for our water situation, and a lower water bill for you! Win! Win! Win!

Hello Parker! I did 75 aeration’s last week and many lawns look fried. These were green lawns last fall. Big problem this spring are lawn mites. These mites love very dry warm conditions on South facing lawns. With the very dry winter we just had they are on the crawl. Linked is a great article about these mites, what they look like, and pics of mite damage in lawns. Best thing you can do right now to slow them down is water your lawn. Mites hate moisture!

We treat for lawn mites, clover mites, grass mites, and spider mites! All are the same brick-red tiny insects that can attack Colorado lawns.
