I really love this Kitchen and am so thrilled to share it!
A series of small-ish but important floor plan tweaks added up to a major functional improvement for my parents. We removed the bar partition between the Kitchen and Dining areas, bumped out the eat-in dining area, shifted another opening, et voila! A “bigger” Kitchen!
We could now relocate the refrigerator, expand the island to fit prep space, enjoy better clearance around the cooktop, and redirect traffic away from the high use areas!
And boring stuff aside-we installed a beautiful quartzite slab that is reminiscent of both foggy days on the Sound and the pattern of sand at the shoreline. Aged oak cabinets are hard wearing in a working Kitchen. Island details derived from antique Shaker furniture and counter stools that remind me of the lobster pots we used to check and reset every Sunday.
I could go on and on! Why don’t you linger awhile!
