We want to recognize Zach Venable on hitting one year with Kury Electric. Zach shows incredible dedication every day by showing up, working hard, and taking pride in getting better at his trade. That kind of dedication is what we’re built on.

However, that dedication doesn’t stop with us. Sgt. Venable spent the last several days deployed with the Arkansas National Guard, helping folks through this tough winter storm. Long days that went into the night, rough conditions, and a lot of people who needed help, he stepped up and got it done.

We’re proud of your service, Zach. Glad to have you on our crew. ⚡️

With the winter weather on its way, many households turn to the use of generators. Generators can be a lifesaver in these times of outage but can also be extremely dangerous if precautions are not taken during use.

Here are a couple of the Kury Crew’s biggest concerns:

1) Generators must be a stand alone energy producer. This means a true means of disconnect has to be in place from the utility. This can be introduced by a manual transfer switch, automatic transfer switch, or a breaker interlock.

2) When connecting appliances or your generator to your home never use su***de cords (A cord with two male ends). This action can lead to bodily harm to yourself or utility workers and can be a real fire or shock hazard.

3) A major hidden health concern when operating your generator is Carbon Monoxide poisoning. This can occur quickly due to the fact that you cannot see or smell the harmful gas. Do not run your generator inside your house or garage. We advise that you operate your generator a minimum of 20 feet from your windows and or doors.

4) These times can be overwhelming due to the extreme cold and there being a possibility for an extended power outage. It is not worth putting your life or home in harms way. During this time, we will be a phone call away. Please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or electrical needs.

We would like to congratulate our friends at JA Outfitters on the grand reopening of their apparel store under new ownership! It was an honor for us to jump right in and complete a full LED lighting upgrade so they could get their doors open quickly.
