We’re back with another Tip Tuesday!!

🌱 Mow High During Hot & Dry Conditions! ☀️

With these hot and dry conditions, now is not the time to scalp your lawn. Keeping your mowing height a little longer allows the grass to develop a deeper, healthier root system.

🌱 Longer grass = deeper roots
💧 Deeper roots = better moisture retention
☀️ More leaf surface = better protection from heat and drought stress

A taller mowing height helps shade the soil, reduce moisture loss, and keep your lawn healthier when rainfall is limited.

This time of year, mowing a little higher can make a BIG difference! 🌾

There’s just something about natural stone. 🪨

For this lake property, we used the natural elevation to create a hardscape that feels like part of the landscape rather than something added to it. Stone steps connect the different levels, retaining walls provide structure, and the fire pit patio creates the perfect destination at the bottom.

The result? A functional outdoor space with tons of character—and a pretty incredible place to spend an evening by the lake. 🔥

💧 TIP TUESDAY: Don't Ignore Hot Spots!

Noticing dry or brown spots in your lawn even though your irrigation system is running? Your sprinkler coverage may be the problem.

On this service call, we ran through the irrigation system, replaced a sprinkler head, and made adjustments to get the proper coverage where it was needed.

🌱 Today's Tip: Periodically run through each zone of your irrigation system to check for broken heads, poor spray patterns, or areas that aren't getting enough water. A few simple adjustments can help prevent hot spots and keep your lawn looking its best!
