As a child, I spent much of my time exploring the woods of northeastern Tennessee, where imagination often blurred into reality. Dusk was an especially magical transition, marked by the emergence of fireflies among the trees. Their flickering glow transformed the familiar landscape while also signaling that it was time to head home.

This painting explores the unstable boundary between the human body and unseen energetic forces. Inspired partly by telluric currents — the natural electrical currents flowing through the earth — the work imagines the figure as both transmitter and receiver, suspended within invisible systems of motion, tension, and transformation.
