I have a new product for you to consider for shower walls……. Fibo. Well, not exactly new, just new to the American market. This Norwegian company has been producing their waterproof wall panels since the 60s or 70s. It’s very popular in Europe. Stacy had liked the showers in hotels and Airbnb‘s when we travel to Europe and could never find the product here. She finally found it in Ocala, FL. 
My customers do not want fiberglass showers anymore. They all want tile, in every bathroom. But a tile shower can run around $15,000 after installation of a Schluter waterproofing system, purchased ceramic tile, and pay for the installation. 
This Fibo wall system is 100% waterproof and comes with a 25 year warranty. The panels can be installed directly to the framing or glued to sheet rock. I had my guys trained on the installation and we are trying the material out onto two bathrooms now. If we stay as happy with it as we are after installing it, I’ll be recommending Fibo to our customers. Here are some photos of the first bathroom. We decided to do one shower wall with a ceramic tile as an accent wall.
