Electrical supplies being auctioned! We know the folks at Alaska Premier Auctions & Appraisals, and this is just one of many things that they have for sale. You can check them out online. I don’t know where the electrical supplies came from but wanted to alert our electrician connections out there if there’s something you can use.

Communication is important in all relationships, including family, church family, and coworkers. Are you communicating? Carl from Better Built Buildings shared a quote this week:

Getting offended happens less when we know and understand our coworkers well. Think about your closest friends. How often do they offend you? Probably not very often. This illustrates how communication and strong relationships fend off offenses. We more easily understand our friends’ true motives or what they really intended to communicate.
When you know and like someone fairly well, you aren’t as temped to be offended by what they do and say. Friends like this have your respect. Furthermore, you know without even asking that they didn’t mean to hurt you, because you know their character and heart.
You might think that the less two people communicate, the less likely they are to misunderstand each other and the less chance they have of getting offended. However, the reverse is often true. The less two people communicate with each other at work, the more likely they are to misunderstand each other’s actions and motives when frustrations or conflicts arise.
The saying that “imagination starts where communication stops” holds true at work. When we aren’t communicating well with our coworkers, we can start imagining the worst about their motives.
Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “People fail to get along because they fear each other; they fear each other because they don’t know each other; they don’t know each other because they have not communicated with each other.”
-Caleb Crider, from Getting Along At Work
