In the course of our careers across this state, we have been privileged to serve with some of its most dedicated and talented workers. It is no small feat to keep the gears running in its remote vastness, and stability is hard-won by the men and women doing unobserved work in unsung parts of the world. To the families and friends grieving the loss of lives on Bering Air today: we offer our deepest condolences. We’d like to welcome the Kellers and Rising Son Electric to the Sunstone Family! As of January 1st, the Rising Son staff have joined us to expand our residential and commercial operations. Some answers to expected questions:

“Wait, where are Vennessa / Dakota going? I like them!”

So do we. They’re both fantastic professionals and they treat clients and staff the way we would, and we hope to keep them around until they get tired of us. They’ll be managing the majority of our residential and small commercial projects as we merge.

“Who am I supposed to call?”

We expect to slowly combine all of our assets over the coming year, but at the moment you can call either Sunstone Electric or Rising Son, and you will be routed to the appropriate personnel or placed on the schedule.

“Why’d you guys merge?”

We’ve been working together for quite a while, and they have fit seamlessly into our team. We value quality work, whether it’s a small residential call or a large industrial one, and a supportive environment for our personnel.

Thank you to Susitna Valley High School for inviting us to talk to the CTE program about opportunities in the electrical trade! Had some great questions from the students and we look forward to seeing some of those faces in our industry one day.

We’ve worked with Alaska Freight and Snow LLC throughout this year to get gear shipped all over the state, and they’ve made some miracles happen when we needed it. If you need any deliveries done on the road system (Slope included), we would not hesitate to recommend them. Heavy equipment, sensitive electrical, or small personal shipments — these guys make it happen. Bonus points for the cute puppies in tow!
