Commercial Construction Superintendent
Restaurant, Retail & Hospitality Projects
A&K Construction | Nashville, TN Region
Full-Time | Competitive Salary Starting at $65,000+ (Based on Experience)

As our project portfolio continues to expand throughout the Nashville market, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent with a proven background in restaurant, retail, hospitality, and hotel construction. This is an opportunity to join a respected General Contractor and play a key leadership role in delivering high-profile commercial projects for nationally recognized brands and clients.
Position Overview
The Commercial Construction Superintendent is responsible for leading all field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive experience managing ground-up and renovation projects within the restaurant, retail, and hospitality sectors. This individual must excel at coordinating subcontractors, maintaining aggressive schedules, solving field challenges, Leading Self Performing crews, and driving project success from planning through completion.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and oversee all daily on-site construction activities.
Lead and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and self-perform crews.
Maintain project schedules and proactively manage critical path activities.
Ensure all work is performed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Coordinate closely with Project Managers regarding materials, logistics, RFIs, change orders, and project updates.
Conduct quality control inspections and address deficiencies promptly.
Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
Lead daily safety meetings and maintain a culture of safety excellence.
Maintain accurate daily reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget.
Manage project turnover and punch-list completion.
Utilize Procore, Microsoft Office, and other construction management software to track progress and documentation.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of commercial construction experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience leading commercial projects as a Superintendent.
Extensive experience managing restaurant, retail, hospitality, hotel, or similar commercial projects.
Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and scheduling.
Ability to read and interpret all aspects of blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
Proven leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Must currently reside in the Nashville Region or be able to reliably commute to active job sites throughout the region.
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 30 Certification.
Experience overseeing Ground-up commercial projects.
Experience with occupied renovations, tenant improvements, and fast-track construction schedules.
Background working with national restaurant chains, hospitality brands, or retail developments.
