Hurricane Chad coming through!!! Phase one starting with a 5 week plan, 4 weeks to go! Cracking all the eggs! Old plaster houses are so fun 🤩 we’re calling this one the onion house! I’ve peeled back 5+ layers of wallpaper that was painted over, traced down multiple poorly done repairs and now we’re on to the planning stage for colors, furniture, decor etc. my client told me “I want to restore this house” so that’s the plan!! One step at a time. I can’t wait to pull this all together!!! We’re keeping it classy with a nod to the homes retro rooted past! Stay tuned 🫣

Not bad for 2 days! Still have to finish it but I’m super Thankful for my guys coming through to help pull this off! What a crazy thing to have happen! Again if you have an older house built in the 70s you might need to have your entire ceilings reattached so this doesn’t happen! She got a new roof and with them walking around, hammering, removing shingles, laying all new, the ceiling just couldn’t keep up. Couple months later she walked out to a massive crack in the ceiling. It had delaminated over 1ft from the rafters. Scary stuff!

What a mess!!! It’s fixed but there’s going to be a good solid layer of dust throughout the house for a week or 2. It looks like it never happened and better than it did before all of this and that’s all we can hope for sometimes! I can’t believe they dropped a pallet of shingles on the roof. This is the 3rd time I’ve heard of this, this year alone.

The photos will be from start to finish as I went along. Sorry I don’t have time to organize them side by side.

This poor woman had a pallet of shingles dropped on her roof, we found another possible leak today, got her roofer coming back out Wednesday. I’m so glad she decided to have me do this project, not everyone has the right technique to handle something as extensive as this and make it last or be willing to go the extra mile to ensure it’s done properly. Luckily for her I’m just trying to be great 😃

We veered off the original quest but it will be so much better off in the long run! This was going to be skim coated but upon final inspection it was too far gone so we did the worst case scenario and covered it up with all new dry wall and still managed to keep it within budget! It’s flawless!! Much better than the ugly acoustic tiles!
