We’re excited to celebrate the completion of Phase 2 of our renovation project at Keswick Multi-Care Center in Baltimore, Maryland!

This phase focused on upgrading building systems in one section of the facility while giving residents’ rooms a refreshed look.

It’s always rewarding to see how thoughtful improvements can make a meaningful difference in the comfort and experience of the people who call these communities home.

Phase 1 Complete at Calvert Hall!

Lewis Contractors is proud to announce the completion of summertime renovations at Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, MD!

This phase transformed several key spaces on campus, including a new golf simulator room, lecture hall, and locker room, along with a striking decorative lobby wall that adds a distinctive visual element to the school’s interior.

From specialized athletic spaces to enhanced learning environments and refreshed common areas, Lewis is proud to help create facilities that support Calvert Hall’s students, faculty, and community for years to come.

Progress at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church!

Work is moving forward at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Highland, Maryland, where we are is renovating and expanding the church’s facilities.

The new parish hall is taking shape, with foundation walls in place and HVAC work underway in the main church basement. The team is also preparing for the next major milestone: pouring the concrete slab on metal deck.

Step by step, we’re transforming the space into a new gathering place for the St. Mark’s community—while keeping the project moving safely and efficiently.

We’re proud to celebrate the completion of our renovation project at St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church in Owings Mills, MD!

Founded in 1742 to serve the early settlers of Garrison Forest, St. Thomas’ has been a place of worship and community for nearly 300 years. The historic church, originally constructed in 1743, is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places and remains an important part of the history and character of the Owings Mills and Green Spring Valley communities.

Our renovation focused on the church’s organ, piano, and choir area, transforming it into a more functional and visually engaging space for worship and music. The redesigned layout includes changes in floor elevation, an expanded organ chamber, and a stepped choir area—creating a setting that better supports the church’s musical ministry.

We’re honored to have played a part in the continued stewardship of this historic place of worship and to help preserve and enhance a space that has welcomed generations of parishioners.

We look forward to seeing this beautiful space filled with music, fellowship, and worship for years to come.

We’d like to take a moment to express our sadness over the recent passing of William Amberman Sr., a longtime member of the Lewis Contractors family.

Bill was a valued member of Lewis’ Estimating Team, a Project Manager, and a respected colleague who brought his experience, dedication and character to our team.

But today, we choose to also remember Bill for the tremendous impact he made beyond the workplace.

For more than 65 years, Bill was a dedicated member of Eureka Volunteer Fire Department. And for Bill, service to his community went beyond responding to calls. He played a pivotal role in starting Eureka’s annual carnival, taking great pride in bringing the community together while raising financial support for the department and its mission.

That spirit of service says so much about the man Bill was. He gave his time generously, mentored others, built community and left things better than he found them.

We are grateful to have known Bill, to have worked alongside him and to have called him a member of the Lewis Contractors family.

Building Up at Maryland School for the Blind

The Maryland School for the Blind Gym & Pool Project continues to take shape—and there’s a lot happening on site!

• Buildings are progressing upwards
• Gym roof trusses are now in place
• Concrete is being poured for the multi-purpose pool
• BGE has energized the building, marking another important milestone

Each milestone brings us closer to delivering a state-of-the-art facility that will serve Maryland School for the Blind students and the greater school community for years to come.

At Lewis Contractors, every successful project is built on attention to detail—inside and out.

We're making great progress at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland, where our team is completing important upgrades that will enhance both the performance and preservation of campus facilities. Inside, we're modernizing laboratory fume hood systems to support safer, more efficient learning and research environments. Outside, skilled craftspeople are performing exterior cleaning, caulking, cornice restoration, and installing block modillions medallions to preserve the building's historic architectural character.

From advanced building systems to historic restoration, we're proud to deliver solutions that help institutions like Hood College continue serving students for generations to come.
