Gerald E. "Gerry" Jordan, 80, of Candor, NY passed away on August 18, 2026. Gerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy; his mother-in-law, Arlene; his three children, Gerald, Patricia, Sharon; his four grandchildren, Casey, Sophia, Anna, Clara; his two brothers, Kenneth and Francis. Gerry is predeceased by his parents, Daisy and Elmer; father-in-law, Bo; sister, Dorothy; brother Elmer, and twin brother, David. Gerry was born at home on June 24, 1946. He was a graduate of Candor High School and retired from Cornell University. He was a hard worker and a determined problem-solver, building his family home from the basement to the roof with no formal training. This impressive custom log cabin has been the site of generations of family gatherings and his wife continues to call it home 45 years later. Gerry loved spending time outdoors, camping and hunting with family and friends. Gerry's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Elderwood at Waverly for their compassionate care over the last eight years. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY with Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating. A reception will follow at the Candor Town Hall Pavillion. Memorial contributions may be made in Gerald E. Jordan's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
