The future of housing is being built in Owatonna today.

The recently enacted 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act takes steps to encourage factory-built housing at scale—recognizing the potential of modular and manufactured construction to help address the nation’s housing supply and affordability challenges.

At RISE Modular, this is just what we do every day.

Yesterday, RISE was featured on Marketplace Morning Report, with reporter Chris Farrell touring our 150,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Owatonna, Minnesota, to see firsthand how we’re building fully finished apartment modules in a controlled factory environment.

Our approach can help deliver housing 30–50% faster, with less waste and average cost savings of 5–10% compared with traditional construction.

There’s still work to be done to make factory-built housing a mainstream part of the housing solution. But the momentum is growing, and we’re proud to lead the way.

Another RISE mod is ready to roll!

Every module built by RISE leaves the plant complete with finished interiors and shrink-wrapped for protection during transit.

This mod will be headed to Centennial, CO, where it will become part of Dry Creek Apartments, a 326-unit affordable multifamily project in the Denver area.

With 396 modules being delivered in phases, the project’s modular approach supports both construction efficiency and high-quality results, with durability and long-term performance built into every module.

RISE Modular had a great time in Denver at the Offsite Construction Network Summit!

A highlight of the event was seeing such a strong turnout for our panel with Bristlecone Construction. Christian Lawrence and Troy Tiddens of RISE Modular joined Zach Smith and Jonathan Goman of Bristlecone to share lessons from a real-world multifamily project and what’s possible when a general contractor and modular manufacturer work together from the very beginning.

The conversation was a great example of how early alignment, collaboration and a shared focus on the end goal can help unlock the benefits of modular construction, from greater speed and cost efficiency to quality and scalability.

Sustainability is changing the way we build, and Rise Modular is part of the conversation.

A new HOTEL MANAGEMENT article features RISE Modular and how our approach to modular construction is helping our hospitality clients develop more sustainably.

Sustainable sourcing today goes beyond choosing “green” materials. Developers are looking at the bigger picture: material efficiency, construction waste, supply chain resilience, lifecycle value and speed to market.

A major milestone is underway in Denver!

This week, RISE joined Blue Room Housing to celebrate the successful delivery of mods for Blue Room House One, a 54-unit affordable housing community in Denver's Santa Fe Art District. The event marked more than the placement of modules; it highlighted what's possible when innovative developers and experienced modular manufacturers come together to tackle housing affordability.

Blue Room Housing is leveraging modular construction to deliver high-quality, attainable housing for residents earning between 30% and 80% of the area's median income. Once complete, the community will offer below-market-rate apartments while significantly reducing the time it takes to bring much-needed housing to market.

By refining a standardized modular prototype, Blue Room Housing plans to replicate and advance the model in future developments, driving continued efficiencies and deeper affordability over time.

As their modular manufacturing partner, RISE is proud to work alongside Blue Room Housing to showcase how off-site construction can create scalable, impactful solutions for housing affordability and demonstrate the meaningful difference modular construction can make, one community at a time.

The Minneapolis Public Housing Authority's largest new construction project in two decades — the $47M Family Housing Expansion Project that comprises 84 two- and three-bedroom units in 16 small apartment buildings spread across the city — is nearing completion.
