Specialties: Cuddles & keeping an eye out for incoming customers

What do you love most about what you do? I love being able to meet new people and bringing my toys to the studio to show everyone.

What inspired you to work in Construction & Design? My mom is a designer and I always supervise her projects at home, then I decided to supervise her projects at work too!

Fun fact: My favorite food is shredded cheddar cheese & I am named after the Jimmy Johns’s sandwich shop

Favorite Hobby: Watching my mom needlepoint, visiting my dog cousins, & going for car rides

Education: Working towards my customer service degree!

Specialties: Taking existing outdated spaces and reconfiguring to a beautifully updated space with functionality at the core. Collaborating with architects, working alongside contractors to bring each detailed vision to life.

What do you love most about what you do? Seeing visions come to life!

What inspired you to work in Construction & Design? Since childhood, I have loved creating and dreaming of possibility.

Fun fact: I love red licorice.

Favorite Hobby: Planting up outdoor pots, baking, & organizing.

Education: I studied Textiles, Marketing, & Design at JCCC and K-State

Scott Burroughs~ Owner & General Contractor

Years in the industry: 24 Years Commercial Interior Renovation / 8 Years Residential Construction Project Management

Specialties: Problem Solving and Team Building

What do you love most about what you do? I truly love seeing the final reveal of a restored and updated property and sharing in the joy that homeowners feel as they experience their living spaces reimagined and renewed.

What inspired you to work in Construction & Design? From an early age, my father poured into me a desire to learn how things worked, mechanically or otherwise. That lead to my high school and college years enjoying Habitat for Humanity and other projects and learning from skilled trades onsite. My passion for building has found its way to manifest over the last 8 years in residential remodeling and assisting homeowners to achieve everything from home restoration projects to working with designers on new conceptual home remodels.
Fun fact: Home Depot, Lowe’s, & Menards are my happy place.

Favorite Hobby: Guitar/Music/Live Performances

Education: Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration

Meet the Team🎉

Dana Henton ~ Sales & Project Manager

Years in the industry: 4 professional but a lifetime personally! We built our own house when we were little and has created a life long love of building and creating around the residential space.

Specialties: Window treatments, project management, ideation

What do you love most about what you do?: It is so much fun to start a project and see all of the pieces of the design come together.

What inspired you to work in Construction & Design?: The building of our home on our farm and creating everything ourselves has always been instrumental in my view. We have always been a fix it family rather than a buy it new so to be able to take something existing and build on it has been so much fun. My very first toy was a hammer, nail and a piece of wood my mom always told me! Still love the feeling and smell of wood!

Fun fact: I have lived in the Overland Park area since I was in the 8th grade. Before that we lived on a farm just outside of Paola!

Favorite Hobby: Kayaking in the summer! Always waiting for the warm weather and time to play outside!!

Education: Bachelors in Graphic Design and Masters in Management

Leigha Turner ~ Interior Designer

Years in the industry: I graduated in 2023 but have been working in the design industry for 4 years now.

Specialties: I am trained in computer design & rendering software such as Chief Architect, CAD, and Revit.

What do you love most about what you do? Being able to have a creative outlet and help clients truly see the potential their space has.

What inspired you to work in Construction & Design? I grew up helping my grandpa build things and restore furniture. I also had a fascination with the show 'Fixer Upper' on HGTV and decided design and renovations is what I wanted to do!

Fun fact: I started a custom woodworking business when I was in middle school 10 years ago and still make furniture and custom signage for customers around the country to this day.

Favorite Hobby: Woodworking, Needlepoint, & hanging out with my pup Jimmy!

Education: I graduated from Johnson County Community College's Design Program in December of 2023 with an Associate's Degree in Interior Design, as well as 3 certificates - Kitchen & Bath Design, Interior Staging, & Interior Design Assistant.

Karen Collins~ Studio Manager

Years in the industry: I started designing draperies and upholstering 45 years ago.

Specialties: I am a professional seamstress and designed and created wedding gowns for 40 years

What do you love most about what you do? I love working with fabrics, working with clients and I the times I am able to be creative.

What inspired you to work in Construction & Design? I have been a DIYer all my life. I love transforming spaces and now I can help clients achieve what they are wanting in their homes.

Fun fact: My grandma name is Kiki, I have 2 grandsons and a granddaughter due in June

Favorite Hobby: Sewing and needlepoint

Education: I received an Associate's Degree from JCCC when I turned 50, so that was a big accomplishment!
