This or That: Which kitchen speaks to you?

One takes a refined approach with a clean palette, streamlined cabinetry, and understated finishes.

The other embraces contrast, pairing dramatic cabinetry with warm wood, natural stone, and collected details.

October is National Kitchen & Bath Month
This month is the perfect time to take a closer look at two of the most important—and most used—spaces in your home.

For many Kansas City homeowners, the kitchen and bathroom are also at the top of the remodeling wish list. An outdated layout, insufficient storage, poor lighting, aging finishes, or a bathroom that no longer meets your needs can affect how you experience your home every day.

But a successful remodel is about much more than selecting new cabinets, countertops, or tile. The best kitchen and bathroom remodels begin with thoughtful design and a clear understanding of how you want your home to function.

In celebration of National Kitchen & Bath Month, we’re sharing 10 kitchen and bathroom remodeling ideas for Kansas City homeowners to consider when planning their next project.

1. Open Up Your Kitchen Layout
2. Make the Kitchen Island Work Harder
3. Incorporate Smarter Kitchen Storage

5 questions to ask before hiring a remodeler

Before you choose the company that will transform your home, make sure you understand how they work.

Who handles the design?

Who manages the construction?

How is the project priced?

What happens when an unexpected issue comes up?

And what does the process look like from the first conversation to the final walkthrough?

A successful remodel starts with the right questions. The more you understand upfront, the more confident you can feel moving forward.

Why do we love remodeling Kansas City homes?

Because no two are quite the same.

A 100-year-old home with beautiful character. A kitchen that hasn't kept up with the way a family lives. A bathroom that needs to work harder. A floor plan with potential hiding in the walls.

We get to see the possibilities and then make them real.

For more than 30 years, Wineteer has been helping Kansas City homeowners create spaces that fit the way they live today while respecting the home they fell in love with in the first place.

The case for making the island the star of the kitchen.

A kitchen island can do a lot more than add counter space.

It can anchor the room, create a natural gathering spot, add storage, introduce a contrasting material, or simply give the kitchen a little more personality.

Sometimes the island is where you make the bold choice.

A different countertop. A deeper color. A statement light fixture. A shape that breaks away from the expected.

When the rest of the kitchen is thoughtfully considered, the island has room to stand out.

Kitchen 101: The details

The cabinets get noticed. The countertops make a statement. The island anchors the room.

But the details are what make a kitchen yours.

The hardware that feels right in your hand. The lighting placed exactly where you need it. The storage designed around your needs. The backsplash that brings everything together.

A beautiful kitchen is great. But a kitchen that works beautifully for your life? That's the Wineteer attention to detail your home deserves.

Design Spotlight: French Country

The French country style is effortlessly inviting as it draws company into your kitchen.

Warm wood tones. Aged finishes. Natural stone. Soft, understated color. Classic cabinetry. And just enough character to make the room feel collected rather than perfectly matched.

The beauty of French country design is in the balance. Refined, but relaxed. Classic, but comfortable.

It’s a style that makes a kitchen feel like a place you want to linger while the soup warms.
