Safety is about more than following the plan. It’s about being prepared to adapt when conditions change, No Problem.

On a late-night highway project, a miscommunication left a team without the expected traffic control protections. Because Jeff Miller had prepared ahead of time and communicated with project management, he was able to prioritize the most important tasks, put temporary protections in place and keep the team out of harm’s way.

That’s the kind of experience that matters in the field: knowing the plan, anticipating challenges and finding a safe solution when things don’t go as expected.
