After letting the dust settle for a few days, I feel it’s in mine and Outing Outdoors best interests to explain some of the rumors I’ve been hearing all season long in the Emily-Outing Co****ler’s league.
First and foremost, those were NOT my boards we were playing on! I’ve been building quality Co****le boards for 10 years now, and that wasn’t my work.
Next, I’ve been running leagues and tournaments for 10 years now, and have never charged a business or a league for boards. I do charge a maintenance fee at our tournaments to maintain equipment. That was a pretty spendy bill for the league this year. With all the materials donated I feel that cost was really exaggerated. I’ve been doing this a long time and know what materials cost. I have sponsors that I advertise for at all of my events that help cover the costs.
Lastly, why did we go from the boards costing nothing to the league, to the league buying these boards? And who decided this, there wasn’t a vote. There were a lot of sponsorships on the boards, where did all that money end up. There needs to be a lot more transparency in the league accounting. Thank you, Larry Zdenek/Outing Outdoor
