October 4–10 is Fire Prevention Week, making it a good time to take a few simple steps around your home that could make a big difference.🔥

✔ Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
✔ Check fire extinguishers
✔ Review your family’s escape plan
✔ Have fireplaces and heating systems inspected
✔ Keep flammable materials away from heat sources

And while prevention comes first, it’s also important to understand how your homeowners insurance protects you if the unexpected does happen.
