As the days get shorter, this pool, pickleball court & cabana project is worth revisiting, with sliding glass doors that pull fully back so the interior and the pool deck read as one space. Inside, a vaulted wood ceiling covers the seating area and bar. Outside, standing seam metal and shingle siding sit on a stone base. It was a beautiful project to see come together, and we loved working with this team.

This new residence in Cotuit sits at the same elevation and siting as the home it replaced, but it became so much more in how it ties into the entire property, all while preserving the beautiful existing fieldstone retaining walls throughout. The exterior holds to traditional materials and details: cedar shingle siding with wave-shingle accents, profiled fiberglass gutters, and copper standing-seam roofs at the eaves. Modern metal railings nod to the more transitional, contemporary details inside. Working hand in hand with our clients and the full project team made this one especially great to build, and the results show it.

This den was designed so nothing in it has to compete for attention. The built-ins, TV, shelving, and storage all disappear into a single palette, painted to match the walls exactly. Underneath that simplicity are several distinct elements, different materials, different trim profiles, brought together so precisely in color and ex*****on that they read as one composed surface rather than a collection of parts. Getting that right takes close coordination between design and construction from the start, and it's the kind of collaboration between architect, designer, and builder that makes a room feel this calm.
