Designer Favorites: Wet Bar Design Features 🍸 Architectural Designer Jailyn Medeiros chose this wet bar in our client's South Peak Resort home.

The ski-scene wallpaper brings the personality, and the brass shelving keeps it light and open so the pattern can do its job. Add a copper sink and a “Ring for Drinks” bell, and the après-ski plans make themselves.

Before and after: same frame, new house.

On Captiva's main street, we kept the original concrete frame of this Mediterranean and rebuilt everything around it for a family of four generations. Tan stucco and arches became white walls and clean columns. The old tiled bar is now an outdoor kitchen with seating for twelve, open to a new linear pool and infinity spa.

3,092 square feet that sleeps 18, two minutes from the beach.

The owners of this North Andover home cook, gather and entertain every day. Their old kitchen was closed off and did none of that well, so we took it down to the studs.

A ten-foot navy island with a white quartz waterfall top is now the center of the room, with seating along one side and a microwave drawer and beverage fridge built into the cabinetry.

Beside it, a floor-to-ceiling column holds the refrigerator and freezer, glass-front display cabinets, and a coffee station.

And yes, the dog has his own feeding station built into the island. 🐾

Sunday's favorite room. 🏈🏌️📺

Above the three-bay garage of this Falmouth home, we fit a golf simulator, a sitting area, and a full bar onto one floor under a ten-foot ceiling.

The bar cabinetry is cherry with a smoke stain, the counters behind the bar are stone, and the top in front is wood. Below the counters are refrigerator drawers, a dishwasher, a trash pull-out and a bar sink.

Floating shelves and stemware racks finish the back wall.

Game on the TV, a round on the simulator, and everything you need without leaving the room.

📍The Dome, Woods Hole.

Built in 1953 by Buckminster Fuller and a crew of mostly MIT students, hand-cut in a campus woodshop and trucked down to the Cape in one load, this is one of the oldest wood-framed geodesic domes still standing.

It later became a beloved local restaurant before falling into disrepair. Now it sits on our Lighthouse Station project site, and we've been given the job of bringing it back. Still down to bare bones and framing inside, but the structure speaks for itself from every angle.

Honored to be part of this one's next chapter.
