Dear Customer, during Easter Christians reflect on the concepts of loss, resurrection, and transformation; during Passover Jews celebrate loss, liberation and sacrifice. Both holidays contemplate the idea that loss leads to something new. But is it really … NEW? Physics tells us that matter, or energy, cannot be lost or destroyed, only transformed. Therefore we must ask ourselves, when we feel a sense of loss, have we really lost something? Or are we merely struggling to see a transformation?
These days we all feel we have lost our way of life, the liberty to do simple things like shake hands with strangers we just met, kiss a friend , or hug to tell family members hello... Humans are socials beings at their core; we have created social rules of interaction that allow us to express our nature. Could it be, that through this pandemic, we are forced to look for more meaningful ways to connect with people, that not being able to physically touch our friends and loved ones, leads us to find a new way of "touching" them in a more meaningful way than a pat on the back? We may be transforming, and developing a better understanding and while rediscovering just why society, family, friends, and companionship are important; how only working together we can achieve success, not to mention appreciating a humbling new level of respect for Nature itself.
At this time of “loss” we hope to find a way to see this period as an opportunity of transformation and a chance to reevaluate priorities, make something new front and center of your life. View the loss of work as a new opportunity to find that meaningful job you always wanted, the loss of a full schedule as a chance to find the time to care for your health, and the courage to amend an old misunderstanding, the loss of your busy social life as the opportunity to find generosity.
Although the concept of loss is different for each of us, the experience of transforming individually into something new and meaningful is incredibly powerful, and ultimately beneficial to humanity itself.
We send our best wished and hopeful thoughts to the new You!
