WINNEBAGO COUNTY RESIDENTS:
A reminder that we accept yard waste for disposal at our facility at 100 W. County Rd. Y in Oshkosh.

Minimum fee is $10 for 500 lbs. or less of material.
Beyond 500 lbs. is $35/ton for disposal.

Note: We cannot accept dirt, rocks, concrete, or branches thicker than 6" in diameter.

Plastic plant pots and trays are 𝗻𝗼𝘁 curbside recyclable because:
👉They are made from low-grade plastics or mixed resins making them less desirable in recycling markets.
👉They are mostly black which optical sorters can’t detect properly because the dark pigment absorbs light instead of reflecting it.
👉Contamination. They often have dirt, pesticides, or fertilizer residues.

Once empty, your options include:
►Reusing them for plant propagation
►Taking them to a Lowes garden center or other plant retailer (call ahead) for drop-off and reuse
►Disposing of them in the trash
